America Sings just seems so lively and genuine. It was truly a celebration of America, something Walt Disney would definitely be proud of! Burl Ives singing in the beginning and end was absolutely wonderful. The Western portion with the train was extremely creative. Love the video! 👍🍪

Happy 50th anniversary to America sings. One of Disney’s best shows in history.

@ why yes the death was unfortunate but it should not be what the ride is most known for. It should be known for its amazing music and how it told the story of music in America.

I recall the first time I saw this show. For the longest time, we went to Disneyland but never bothered to go in the round theater called America Sings. The title sounded like it would be a boring show with people singing patriotic songs. One day we decided to see what it was and it was nothing like what we imagined. It instantly became my favorite attraction and Animatronics became my profession here in Florida.

i saw the original version in disneyland. a big part of my childhood. back then we would always take the monorail into the park,so COP was usually the first thing we'd do. it became a tradition.

Thank you providing us with this video made up of a great group of talented characters! Created to celebrate America's 1976 Bicentennial Celebration, America Sings was one of many Disneyland's awesome attractions that was unfortunately eliminated like so many others. America Sings located in Tomorrowland celebrated America's music through the years and regions. The eagle's voice was that of one of America's famous folk singers, Burl Ives, I believe. America Sings was a very inspiring attraction and experience for guests of all ages.

Cool that you were able to capture footage of that Calliope and the lobby itself, different times, wish they didn't change.

Thank you so much for posting this! I was wondering if you ever had or have considered posting the other footage from the final day of operation? I understand if you wouldn’t want to due to the story behind it.

Great video. Wish they could use that theater in the same way again. The SW Launch Bay is a downer compared to America Sings and even Carousel of Progress.

Someone should rebuild this in the Grizzly Peak area of DCA
@SlushysSecret8 ай бұрын
Too bad avatar will most likely remove Hollywood backlot or grizzly peak so they should move the Winnie the Pooh ride to one of the expansions that Disney plans and bring back the bears to their old theater

Just wanted to thank you for recording this. Almost all recording of the attraction begins at the show and leaves out the lobby entirely. Honestly I am more nostalgic on the lobby then the actual show itself. I have lot of memories as a kid showing up at like 10 or 11pm super late at night. Slowly walking through the wooden arches in the blackness to enter into the lowly lit widen open lobby that was often completely empty of people. If only I could go back and just relax in that lobby once again. Your video is only one I know that records this experience, thank you for that.
