I would love to see more of this type of thing. We live in a world where store bought is perceived as easiest/best. I am a hobby machinist and have wanted to get back into model railroading(since childhood). Despite the impractical, building is rewarding. I am having difficulty finding machinists that build smaller than "rideable" scale. Looks very nice!

I think if that curve hadn't been there it wouldn't have made a difference. What radius is that curve?

You may have given me an idea using three southern pacific Gp 9's handing two box cars two tankers and one caboose(both the battery ones are from 2005 #661 Black widows).

Too fast too blurry we ca not appreciate it !!!

I agree. I cut it short after just a minute. It was so blurry that it looked like HO, not O.

Love that train and those engines. Also really like that sparse suggestion of scenery that lets the train fully take center stage.

Very nice Dan! The Photo at the end was at the spur of the moment and numerous people were unintentionally left out. Credit is also due to Cully Kowal, Nancy Kowal, Dan Hiller, Ruth Hiller, Paula Schafer, Wally Rogers, Bonnie Rogers and Mike Slater.

I was there for Chris Smith’s final run of his layout before he moved down to Florida. He was a genius when designing his layout, fitting all that O scale railroad in a modest-sized space. His scenery techniques are incredible too! I will definitely miss having his layout in the area.

Which issue did the reproduction advert for the Hines Lines Mikado appear? I have 3 of them. One running and painted up as a NKP, another being refurbed, and the third in a sad state with bent drivers, I suppose from a fall during prior ownership.

Thank you for all you do for the hobby & with the "O" and "S" Scale Resource magazines. This video is a wonderful addition to the July/August "O" Scale Resource magazine issue. I wish I were able to travel to these conventions, but wonderful dedicated people like yourselves help me enjoy them from a distance.
