Danny not sure how I ever missed this. This is awesome and I have tried the thank yous but never from hand written. But I like the reposition and using a seating chart. I have tried to write everyone’s names down just so I have them but never thought to use them in the answers I provide. I think that also shows the calmness you can bring as a leader to be in the moment to take down everyone’s name and really use it in the interview.

Teachers who have not used Sabere Synergistic Board will continue to be overworked and burned out. SSB is sweeping Asia. Asian schools are adopting American evolution in education. Go figure!!! Scott, I suggest putting on there anything relevant to the position and more importantly anything that is interesting about YOU and would set you apart. It could be a little much or it could be the thing that makes you memorable compared to everyone else applying for the position.

All the tips were awesome! I can identify with tip 1. In the last interview that I experienced, I wished that I would have used everyone’s name a bit more. Of course it was a panel of 9 people and my nervousness wouldn’t allow me to remember. Next time I will make a seating chart…clever!
@ChiefRuckusMaker3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jerome! The seating chart is key to remembering the panel's names. You got this!

That's a common challenge for school leaders Carol. You are not alone! I believe that you serve your community best when you set aside time for yourself to recuperate and also to do the meaningful work only you can do. Both of those things are hard to do if you always have an open door. It's okay to close the door from time to time 😉

@DanielBauer I absolutely love the idea of the DREAM LIST. I'm going to grab the book! I think it would be so beneficial to have the staff share their thoughts, dreams, and excitement when it comes to our school culture. While we, as leaders, feel that our culture is a strong and positive one, we may be missing out on something that our staff sees each day. Free Book!!! - Loved the interview with Chris on SEEing To Lead. Can't wait to get you on ReflectED!

This is a fascinating idea and I am going to use it to help set the tone for a new year in September. I see this as a list that is revisited throughout the year to celebrate progress and accomplishments. As a lifelong Liverpool supporter, I have attended games at Anfield, sang "You'll Never Walk Alone," and can confirm that there is nothing like it! I hope you make it happen, Daniel.

@ChiefRuckusMaker3 жыл бұрын
Hey Melissa ... this blog post goes into some detail and you can download a free template: www.betterleadersbetterschools.com/culture-builder-bucket-lists/ The "high level" would be to -share the template and share *your* dreams to set the stage -give your staff time to work on it -give them time to share with colleagues -create a system to follow up with your staff and how you will help them move forward with the idea. If you'd like some coaching on this topic let me know!
