It’s not a “fail” you dope. It’s a test tee used for inspection that was kept hidden inside the wall because most homeowners would complain that they had a cleanout cap cover smack in the middle of their bathroom that would look tacky.

Probably was being used as a test Tee to fill vents with water to leak test during the vents and water line installation. Some inspectors call for it in different cities.

I clamp, because a plumber buddy gave it to me. I do a bunch of bathroom remodeling so it works for my needs, never had a problem.

I normally do ring it around the terminal. This attic was 135 degrees and I forgot my pliers in the truck. I was lazy and that’s on me. I’m surprised at how almost all new construction is all stab in through. I can’t say I’ve ever found a contractor that’s screwed them in.

This one was the tensioner. That plastic wheels bearing goes out and just causes the worst sound.

my favorite is the opposite problem, when an old #14 circuit goes to a jbox, #12 to the panel, give it a slap n dash panel replacement as recommended by the realtor ("because panel old") and a hazard is born.

There are a few exceptions. In my world which is primarily air conditioning then conductor sizing doesn’t typically match breaker sizing

Not really. The issue that I’ve seen in the past is with city water, when a main breaks the sediment rushes in the pipes and it’s hard to control on the utility side. Ultimately you could put a filter before the prv but it would have to be something rated for high pressure but I have not ran into anything in the wild. Most water filters are going to be rated for pressure up to 80 lbs. not saying they aren’t out there. Just haven’t seen it.

See the homeline in a siemens panel. People can't do that if you use CH or QO. Forcing you to install the correct brand and not mix manufacturers.

Just replaced the elbow on it and replace the covering. It had busted off as well. The sun just causes that cpvc to become brittle over time.

So on this one it’s the seawater impeller. It draws in water to circulate and keep the engine cool. Definetely burnt up!!!
