Downtown Cleveland is getting worse every day. Stay as far away from this city as you can. I have 2 personal friends that were maimed in Downtown Cleveland this year. My buddy Bryce was car jacked by (3) 12-14 year old black kids with guns as he was walking out of work, he's lucky to be alive. My life long friend Constantine was robbed at gun point and shot in the leg by (2) young black guys as he walked to his car in the Casino parking garage after having a nice time at the Casino with friends. Don't kid yourself, it's not a safe city. I breaks my heart to see how bad Cleveland has become. The city needs to expand the police force and stop spending money on nonsense.

Born and raised but left for the west coast some time ago.. trust me it doesn’t change much no matter where you go in America nowadays. Every major city has been getting pretty bad especially since covid. You should be fine as long as you grow some balls 😂

I find what you are saying very hard to beleive. I have lived and worked in downtown Cleveland for over 10 years and have never encountered any problems at all. The same can be said for friends , family and co workers. We all shop , dine , go to the theater , sporting events , The Flats etc and none of us have ever had any issues with crime nor do we know anyone who has. Stop the BS and hate!

The organization is funded by a Special Improvement District tax on property owners downtown and grants/donations from local foundations and Companies/Organizations. We work with the Cleveland Police Department to continuously improve both real and perceived safety Downtown through cooperation with our Downtown Ambassadors and Safety Specialists to create a uniformed, unarmed presence to deter crime and violence. It is a problem in major cities across America, as police departments are struggling to recruit and retain tallent. It's a work in progress, but we're working hard to make Downtown Cleveland a safe, welcoming place to be enjoyed by all

The city itself is dired; too many condemned houses and buildings; and the roads are so raggedy, while their some pockets of Cleveland is absolutley goregeous but going into the city itself I find very disturbing.

Downtown Cleveland, Ohio is beautiful there are a lot of things you can do there's The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, museums, restaurants, sports arenas , a subway system and theaters. 😄❤👍

You forgot to mention the beautiful slackers and panhandlers hanging out in front of Tower City aggressively harassing people for money, the needless excessive noise from illegally modified motorcycles and cars on weekends, the audio terrorists. The idiotic weekend crowd. I know some like to convince themselves that this is OK...and just "part of the vibrancy of the city"...A big B.S. to that... No, it adds 0 flare or character or social redeeming value to a anyplace....You forgot to mention virtually zero shopping downdown...no anchor tennant like a Khol's at least! Best you can do is to attract Dollar General?

Was there in 2019. Nice downtown area. Took in a Friday afternoon baseball game. Hit the bars around the stadium before and after the game. Found some nice live music there, then spent two days at the Rock ‘n Roll HoF. Well worth a visit.

Im a lifelong cleveland resident born and raised and still living here! Hopefully one day I run into some of you all while on the way to work while coming through downtown on the bus and possibly on my bike... We gotta continue to be legendary! While downtown is making a comeback tho, I couldnt live down there myself because everything is so EXPENSIVE... You even have to PAY to PARK YOUR CAR! Parking as ALWAYS been an issue since I was a little boy watching my dad get ticketed because he was a minite late putting quarters in the meters... Its just easier not having a car downtown, and they have the trollies that they have brought back which helps and those are free. See you all soon! Cleveland neighbors!

YESSSS as a lifelong cleveland resident I am hopeful for the future of not just downtown but MY areas of town as well! Im starting to have some of the old magic from the 90s back again and hope reins! I always wanted to be like the Van Swarengen (I HOPE thats how you spell it) brothers but money 💰 is tight in these times of covid... Hopefully sometime in the future I can own a little piece of cleveland! Dont stop believing cleveland! You'll see it when you BELIEVE!
