Fog is a result of air temp and ground temp differences with moisture present how cold or warm it is has nothing to do with it

We have what you call freezing fog here it can develop almost anywhere ... fog usually happens when it hits the dew point

@@justinbaas843 2005 The Fog. I remember like big legs moving through it, bugs that came out of it were huge and inanimate objects came to life. Ohh one of the most fcked up ending, 4 people were left in a hum-V with 4 bullets. Right as the last one person was going to boom, the fog starts to move out and the army is containing it.

The other gentleman! I was thinking maybe that would include the wind chill but I’ve only see fine powder snow when it’s that Cold. That cold out the air is very dry

A few people thought fireworks show happened the a night or two before this. No there wasn’t, they said it smelled like that. I didn’t notice a smell

i never noticed fog like this around the New Year! We have it again tonight and Oneida Lake in upstate NY is a block of ice! I'm not saying the Earth is Flat or we didn't land on the Moon. What I am saying is 2025 is coming in like a wrecking ball! These next few week are going to be interesting!

I had to keep it real low, like 5 feet. I don't like to do it cause they like to drop so I,m just watching the elevation. I didn't stay out there long

Look, this fog phenomenon might be something. Not saying otherwise, You need to do your research before making false assumptions . It's well known that fog can form as low as -40 degrees , negative 40. You are just freaking yourself out, and inadvertently spreading it. I use video from years past, from my area to determine if fog conditions are usual. So far, they see to be. There is a large amount of volcanic dust right now too. That *could be part of it. I'm just saying everyone should pay attention but be calm.

BigDan brought that to my attention couple days ago. Being from upstate NY the great lakes are warm up to Jan. It was just weird seeing it so close to Jan, not only that but this past summer was warmer than usual.It was just weird to see, no one is sick and no hair growing up out of the ground.

@@Comedronewithme Nope. The doctor made some vague, speculative claim about an "upper respiratory virus" after they poked an unbelievable number of holes in me and took my vitals about 20 times. I know what I was exposed to and it screwed up my body for a while.

nice video except fog forms all the time in below freezing temps. It becomes "supercooled" liquid just like what happens in clouds above the surface. Then the fog winds up coating the trees with ice as supercolled liquid freezes on contact. It's very pretty and I get to see it often up here in the Catskills. There are some reports of abnormal fog that needs to get researched but chances are this here is natural I do believe

Wanted to show her how walking to school isn’t easy up hill both ways in two feet of snow. Three mile walk daily, had to wear two pairs of socks, empty bread bags and duck boots.

The Lake Ontario buffer to your north keeps the ground and air temps about 10 degrees higher than Fulton south. Even with the recent lake effect snow and cold plunge our ground is not frozen in Oswego. Maybe later this week. The water has skimmed over in ice but the moist ground has not yet especially with insulating snow. Lots of warm moisture being released yet. Even lake effect has been more gropel than snow here until yesterday.

@ that’s my arm chair meteorology anyway 😂 the spring takes longer here as well as the lake temp takes longer to warm up and has a damp cooling affect. It’s a microclimate 10 miles or so from the edge and varies greatly in moisture by wind whether rain or snow. Many orchards and grape producers line the edge of the lakeshore for the more temperate microclimate. Much the same on the larger FingerLakes.
