At measure 50 what turn do you play 1 or 2, I’m confused

The notation specifies if there are any alterations to the turn. This one has a natural sign underneath the turn which indicates that the lower note of the turn is natural, making the bottom note an E-natural (2nd valve) instead of E-flat, but the top note is an unchanged G. Hope this helps!

For sure. It’s one of the hardest parts of this etude. In a perfect world, we would make these long sections in one breath. However, I think it’s fine to either slow down some ends of phrases to squeeze a breath in at the end, or take out some notes and replace them with a breath so the flow is not disrupted, which is what I did in this recording.

my director told me id have to triple tounge to play at tempo and learning triple tounging made this so much easier

Imo it's much easier to double tongue and read it as 3/4 per bar instead of triplet 2/4 and definitely playable at speed as that but that's just me

Tbh with you man it’s easy as long as you slow done for a sec.I’m a freshman and I’m going to compete for both levels of all region and I’m confident of making it. The only advice I have for everyone is to slow it down and get the fingering and tone good before speeding up
