Lovely! Finally, a tangible and beautiful rebuke to the modernist's iron...or perhaps I should say concrete...grip. I wish we had something comparable in America...but, then, we've no one of the calibre of Prince, now King Charles. Long life to him!

Beautiful. That's how a town should look. Our postmodern architecture has ruined most of the rest of the country and it's not just aesthetics. The buildings they've put up over the past 80-90 years aren't physically/mentally good for us, even though they claim the exact opposite.

Great video. I spent my whole life, 50 yrs, living in Sth London and last May bought a house in a village on the outskirts of Torquay. Best move I ever made. It, and the whole coastline, is paradise, especially compared to where I came from!

I did the same moved from London bought an Amazing SEAVIEW PENTHOUSE..and have not looked back ..Locals very friendly too.

Most of the Portland Limestone used to rebuild London after the Great Fire of September, 1666, was shipped out from the port of Swanage. The narrow-gauge railway tracks seen running along the quayside were used for this purpose during the 19th Century. It's a shame that British Rail closed the branch railway line from Wareham to Swanage in 1972 as the main road through the Isle of Purbeck gets very busy during the Summer Holidays!
