The funny thing I was watching this and thinking "man, a 1300 is a big bike!" and then after a while I realized "oh, I ride a 1200."

You should really start with something smaller and learn some basic riding technique. No offense, but that is way too much bike for your skill level.

most over rated road in NC. I live less than 30 minutes from it. Way better roads in Western NC

Your revs are way to high for the gears you are in. This is bad driving and bad for your motor.

I take it that you forgot to raise the windscreen? Would have sounded better for the listners...lol. Lovely bike I have a 2016 with Coffman shorty exhaust, sounds insane. Baffles out of course

I have heard that the cheeks / sides of the michelins are not sturdy for a heavy VFR 800. What is your experience and what is your experience with other brands under the Honda? Nice video btw :)
@Greeny_Machiney Жыл бұрын
I’ve mostly seen the non GT version recommend for the VFR800, so that’s what I got. If it was 150+ lbs heavier or I was riding with a passenger or lots of gear, I would consider the GT version. I had PR4s on an MT-07, and my dad had the PR4-GT tires on his FJR1300, and his tires seemed to wear slower than mine. The PR6 tires have felt great for these first 200 miles.

Water pump, mine did same and a friends, the same. It’s going to happen. Changed myself with a kit from merchant. Had everything needed, plus impeller was tig welded in place. By myself, with a couple special tools I bought, a flywheel lock and a giant breaker bar, took me about 6hrs over 2 days because my back can’t take 6 hrs straight under a hood.

My leak was the Thermostat Bypass Inlet Pipe. I out a Water Pump on and didnt need it. If you purchase this truck from someone and this has been done before, that pipe is kind of a pain to put back in without pinching the oring. So a lot of people put gasket glue and force this pipe in which actually brand it and with it being slightly bent it wont seal properly. thats what the gasket glue is for. it will hold for a quite some time but will one day give way. I purchased a new Thermostat Bypass pipe and no more dripping.
