this is not a hate comment i swear i love this so much but how are they alowed to do so many of thoose things it’s a highschool right? my highschool group is doing mean girls but have to take out the gay parts damian has to be a girl and janis is a space freak, sexy isn’t going to be in, and a bunch of lyrics are gonna be changed like i’m so jealous they can do theese things bc my school could never lol.

Yes I think it’s a lil odd they used so much of the OG content and sort of inappropriate content but it could be many older year groups or sometimes people call high school plays ‘high school’ when it’s actually college/preforming arts. But yes I’m jealous to bc my next school is doing mean girls and they don’t get to as much. And I’ve just watched more and they are using the thinks of ‘condoms’ and swears which for high school is VERY inappropriate

It is probably a public school because I went to a public school for camp and a lot of kids were cursing at my table like it was nothing.

@@THEMAGICALZOE all of my county is what the theatre group is made out of you have to go to a school in the county but there all public schools and yes the kids curse and stuff there do and act horible i go to a county school so we have kids smoking weed in class but the board of education won’t let us do a lot of stuff in mean girls it’s anoying

This isn’t a public school it’s actually a charter school that you audition to get in but most of the people here are juniors/seniors

I've seen a lot of those productions on YT in the last weeks as well as the 2024 Movie (I didn't get a live show). I think this one stands out. Everyone of the "Main Cast" is great and very talented, but what makes this production so unique in my opinion is, that Cady carries the show. Usually it's either Regina and/or Janis that carry it, because the Cady-character is played a little shy and passive, but here it is Cady that is agressive, up front and just there, that girl is hugely talented! I am here for it, I like that interpretation!

Why is this literally my favourite adaptation of mean girls?! I feel like the actors played the characters beautifully, Gretchen’s character was very well understood, as she is a very complex character.
