Kinda weird how the teams skated onto the ice on opposite sides from one another. Great crowd though for an AHL game. I miss watching AHL hockey were I am in Newfoundland. We had the St. John's Maple Leafs between 1991 to 2005, then St. John's IceCaps between 2011-2017 (Jets Franchise between 2011-2015 then Habs 2015-2017). We then had a champoinship winning ECHL Team for 5 years and now nothing other than local Senior and Junior B teams.

If you think this arena is weird, the XL Center in Hartford would probably blow your mind.

You think PPL is weird. The NHL Rangers play in an arena that’s connected to a train station and all these buildings for some place called Manhattan.

I love the idea of scoping out weird arenas. Here's one for you: Tucson Convention Center Arena, where the Tucson Roadrunners play. It's part of a convention center and it just has the weirdest layout and overall vibe. The games are always a ton of fun, though. Plus, Tucson is an underrated and very cool city (I say this as an ASU graduate from the Phoenix area, which means I'm practically required by state law to hate Tucson). You need to visit for a game sometime!

definitely noted! i really wanted to do ASU with the Yotes there but 😢

I live in Hershey, have season tickets to the Bears. I take my kids to a couple Bears - Phantoms games every year. Stay at the hotel, pregame before the game at Chickies & Pete’s…it’s a fantastic road trip opportunity for visiting fans. I love downtown arenas that have hotels connected to or at least adjacent to the arena - Pittsburgh, New Jersey, Reading (ECHL) are other great road trips with kids for that reason.

Weird how the teams have to skate to the other side of the ice for warmups. Cool rink though

$35 for fake Islanders jerseys?
@BrockTheStable12 күн бұрын
yup that’s what they try to do at some of these thrift stores around here. They don’t know or care enough to know the difference and hope someone will buy it until the price goes down
@fantasticvoyage26211 күн бұрын
@BrockTheStable I sure am glad the ones here aren't that outrageous. I saw a few fakes. But I'll never buy them.
@fantasticvoyage26212 күн бұрын
I don't think the Larkin is fake. It's just a low quality Wal Mart type of jersey to appeal to those on a low budget.
@BrockTheStable12 күн бұрын
yeah wasn’t sure honestly haven’t seen them stitched like that before
@ryanleonowicz915414 күн бұрын
Real authentic nhl jerseys are made either in Canada or Indonesia. Sizing is a number (i.e. 52,54, etc), and must have a fighting strap. Also must have a nhl logo stitched onto the jersey. Example the Nike jerseys if authentic will have a black and silver NHL logo stitched next to it on the bottom of the back of the jersey. A jersey with a fighting strap and a letter size (i.e. md,LG, etc) is considered a replica jersey.
@ryanleonowicz915414 күн бұрын
The Green redwings jersey is probably a practice jersey.
