Here’s the deal young ppl, 99.9 % of driving a vehicle in normal driving conditions never need 4/4, all of my trucks are 4/4 because you never know, but if you’re just gonna ( play ) in the mud an literally constantly tear your truck up you probably want a 4/4, however this guy is correct! If you know how to drive almost all conditions can be achieved with a two wheel drive! Almost all! Didn’t say all!

@@tronskifpv It’s the ease of being able to go into any showroom and buy or lease a machine that’s super capable off-roading, with a good amount of travel, and pretty darn fast. You get some people with little to no off-road experience getting their hands on these and it can cause some issues. Not necessarily their ability to off-road (which can still be an issue) but mainly the lack of desert etiquette or “desert common sense”. For example, what you saw in the video. If they see trucks doing runs up and over the first hill then driving through the little canyon as a run up then hitting the jump, it’s not the smartest move to be riding on the back side of the first hump where the truck is flying over and can’t see the backside, nor is it cool to be ripping back and forth through the run up or driving the face of the jump when someone’s doing runs right there. I can talk more on the topic but hopefully this shines some light on why I say there’s nothing wrong with the SXS itself just some of the people that get their hands on them.

@desertdime gurl you crazy. No you're absolutely right. its a weird time right now. They are driving the offroad market and legislation so its a net positive overall. As a snowboarder, this is probably how skiers felt when we came on the scene.

@ the impact im worried about is that with the influx of people flooding in it’s just slowly commercializing the industry with big corporations starting to come in and buy the companies. No bueno in the eyes of a lot of off-roaders. Less personal connection with the company’s, prices going up, even shitty when the company that bought them out just uses them as a flip and didn’t actually wanna make it better. We see it happening a lot more with the car world right now but it’s bleeding into the off-road scene. Everything has its pros and cons tho

I have had them on a new tundra with a 3 inch lift fox 2.5. They are so rough even with running them super low. Too thick on ply for a truck I think. I won’t be doing these again next ones will probably be wild peaks or Toyo at3

This is why you don’t want a steel bumper. It can warp the frame if it’s not sacrificial. I’d rather pay 300 for a new bumper than a $$$$ for bent frame.
