His banjo cuts and when you hear that banjo you know its Ralph. Greatness is when you can hear the sound and know who playing it. Thats Ralph Stanley. The sound. Banjo sounds like a machine gun.

Thanks for sharing. This helps me keep fond memories of growing up poor on a small farm on the Blue Ridge Mountains in VA and watching them every morning on WDBJ before heading off for the 10 mile bus ride to Hillsville High School in the early 1960's. I saw them one time in person at a show at The Hillsville movie theater.
