The dancing clip is so delightful I wish we can see it on TV or DVD again. Time Life DVD cut out all the dancing which is a shame as Barbara put in a lot of work in the dancing.

Louise has been to my hometown of Hallsville, MO. She ate at the small cafe, and shot guns at Chapman Academy just South of Hallsville. I saw Barbara when she was the warm up act for the Statler Brothers. Sleeping Single In A Double Bed was her #1 hit. Loved their show to.

Great explanation of one of our favourite dances! Now here's a question that's been nagging me as a member of a country/line-dance club in France. What really seems strange to us is that whenever we look up videos for the dances we learn, they're almost always put online either by French or Chinese dance instructors, sometimes by Spanish (Catalan) and even less infrequently by German instructors. In 3 years of learning 1 or 2 new choreographies in an American style and on American music we've made found 2 videos from the US, including this one. It's as if country/line-dance is in fact a European/Asian thing, and that can't be right, right? Maybe it's simply not authentic at all what people are doing here?

I'll never know why Barbara retired so young. So many people older than her are still going strong in the music industry. She was given a great talent, from God, or wherever, and she should still be performing.

She was led by the Holy spirit. Barbara mandrell syarting working at 13 yrs old maybe 14. So thats allot of years. She wated to be home more with her Family. I believe the accident changed her more yhan people realize. I do know this for sure. She definitely was led by the Lord to do so
