@@whenthesunexplodeswealldie280 I also just hit 2k hours! Biggest advice I can give on the timing is you drop the bang when the survivor is at the killers knees or another way is when you hear the survivor grunt!

There are 2 exhaustion perks that require skill (smash hit and dead hard) and neither are top tier. You need to be hooked every time you want to use dh and even if you get the chance to use it, the killer may whiff and all of the waiting was in vain. Smash hit is cool and all but when you get value once, a good killer will see it and will avoid getting stunned like a plague for the rest of the match. Buff perks that require skill, thought, and timing.

@online_cat relying on pallet looping only works sometimes. You know what works every time? Lithe or sprint bursting away and extending the chase by 30 seconds. Notice how the one that requires skill (looping) is the one that is less consistently viable? That's the problem I am pointing out.

@@hatuki6772It’s a legitimate strategy if you’re losing gens though. My friend and I literally loaded into the match and at least three gens popped because survivors can stack mechanic role and then you have multiple survivors on a gen at a time. It’s not that unfair if you ABSOLUTELY need it

that is a HORRIFIC idea considering how survivor sided the game mode still is. you can literally pop gens in 4 seconds with a bunch of guides and 4 stacking a gen. the repair speed from hook states is way to much to give survivors on top of their ability to rush gens anyways. it also easily overpowers the debuff they get from popping a gen. 2 hook states gives a 5% repair speed boost whilst 1 gen gives -5% repair speed. that means you don’t even have a kill and survivors can still rush gens. at 7 gens popped, that’s -35% which is equal to about 17/24 hook states, which could mean 7 survivors are still left but everyone is on death hook. not to mention it’s easy for the survivors to outnumber the killers and simply take hits, because then the killers have to hit 1 survivor twice, and have hit cool-downs, AND can be pallet/flashlight saved, AND have a longer hooking animation
