Hi David, Thanks for your brief explanation, and I have a question for you. After I follow your video, I am unable to access the SSH after giving me a page it timeout. Does the App tunnel IP and the virtual server IP need to be in same subnet ? What about the parameters configured under App tunnel resources where I get it ?

HTTP is easy, what about protecting 3000 web sites using HTTPS protocol each with their own certificate?

Is it required to upload SSL certificate of the domain to the firewall in case if we need to protect the site hosted under HTTPS protocol? thanks

All you need to do is upload the SSL certificate of the site you want to protect to FortiGate, and set up SSL deep inspection in the policy that has WAF configured. In short, the process is to use the site's SSL certificate to decrypt it using SSL deep inspection, have it inspected by WAF, then encrypt it again using the SSL certificate and pass it to the web server.

is your ansible control node can connect to managed node through ssh. i have the same setup but i'm getting the following error. My managed node cannot ssh or do curl or wget to any nodes. Do the managed node needs both http for api calls and ssh or any one of them is enough. The error was: urllib.error.URLError: <urlopen error timed out>

How do you build a simple basic policy ? For example when you have to cover hundreds of VS fast and have no input from app developpers. Do you use rapid deployment tempalte with automatic learning ? Is it possible to build a generic policy for multiple VS with only signatures ? What's the quickest approach to start ?

Rapiid Deploytment Policy (RDP) is the best option for fast deployment with no input from app developpers. On the other hand, you can build a generic policy for multiple VS easily with only attack signatures.
