What type of lights do you use and do you get some that have the ability to flicker or do you make the circuit that way?
@ScaleModelCraft6 күн бұрын
Hi Major Hawker!!! I have done both, so I will discuss both this Friday during the livestream. I used flicker lights in the long hallway in my Wolfenstein Diorama shown in the video. I also have some fantastic Arduino code written by my cousin Joe to flicker a light through an Arduino. its adjustable, so I really prefer that if I am doing a campfire, or a barrel fire where I really want to see a bright flicker that casts shadows. Awesome question and something I love talking about and trying to figure out how to best use in a diorama. Thanks and I hope you can catch the livestream Friday at noon, or the replay Saturday at 10 am both Pacific time. Take Care, Bill

Hi Scott, Great Question!!! I''l answer it in more depth Friday, but if you are looking for something now, its 1/4" MDF. A beautiful job you did to that model, Bill I used to live in Ireland in the 1970s. In 1974, when I was 10, my mother bought all 12 Aurora 'Glows in The Dark' models for my Christmas. These models were very hard to find in Ireland and this great little toy shop had them all. My mother was great. She knew I liked these models and she saved up her money the whole year for them. She only worked part time and didn't have much. The people in the shop were very nice, too. They kept all the models aside, without a down payment. Sadly, my mother died in October 2024, in a hospital, in my arms. She was 88.

Oh My Gosh, Thank you Frank for sharing that really Wonderfull story!!! I am so sad to hear of your mothers passing, but the story of how she got these models for you is so amazing, it's what these seemingly innocuous items are all about. Everything in my shop carries a memory for me, and I am so glad that some of that can bring back a cherished memory for someone else. Thank you so much for commenting Frank, and all my best to you and your family after the loss of your mother. Take care, Bill

I didn’t think about bathroom fan. Great idea. Still confused on the flow from the both through the air box then out. I assume the air box while on the bench behind you is upside down.
@ScaleModelCraft10 күн бұрын
The airbox holding the fan's is on the top of the booth, and there is a plenum on the back of the unit the same size as the filter, that gathers the air through the filter and directs it up the back of the booth to the airbox where the fans are, and they evacuate the air to the outside. I hope that helps, but if you want Im happy to explain further. Take care, Bill

Hi Stuart, I watched the movie "Beneath Hill 60" and that was a really great inspiration, and lots of things I didn't know about before watching it. This goes down to 35 feet, which is about as far as they went in real life for bunkers and rooms, but tunnels went further down as they dug toward the German lines due to the rise in terrain in some places. Lots of great websites Alsop about Sappers and ANZAC's involvement in WW1. Thanks for watching and commenting. Take care, Bill
