I made my own trim ring and I installed a 10” JL audio sub and JL amp. fit with no problem. The problem I did have is the stock enclosure is very thin plastic and can’t handle the bass, it’s not ment for that much power. The stock sub is digitally adjusted by the amp the loader you turn it up to prevent distortion. Keep in mind that you’re not going to get much from the stock enclosure 😢.

We recommend you install sound deadening material all around the inside the plastic enclosure to give it more strength and also install polyfill. Doing these things will make a difference in the sound quality.

@JBPatterson76 you can turn it down and it will be fine but the 1500 is dynoing over 1900 watts and the 800 is dynoing around 1100 so why pay more if the 800 is next to perfect for those subs.

@brpauto7313 I'm mainly asking because I already have one of the new AudioControl A1500.1 amps, and the Stinger box made for F150's, that's preloaded with two of these SPC-10S4's. I know it's not the same amp, but I figured it would be close.

@JBPatterson76 Got it. It will be fine, you just need to tune it correctly prevent it from clipping. Keep the gain down.

Confused about the remote turn on, not being connected to on/off source would the amp and lc2 not always be on ?

@LouD-j9v the lc2i gets the signal to turn on and off from the factory radio. You just need to turn on the switch on the lc2i that says GTO. You can also just run a remote wire to the cigarette lighter.

Mine came out and the visor light and homelink no longer work. Can’t figure out if the visor wiring is messed up or not. Ideas?

@dandan1364 check the wires. If they are still connected, it might be damaged internally and you won't be able to use them anymore. You might need to have the whole thing replaced.

2024 Gladiator. I tapped in to the twisted wires as shown, however, when connecting the 3rd and 4th wire, I get background hiss coming from amp. If I only use one set of speaker wires from pillar, no hiss. Also, if I connect the 2 subs directly to the factory wires in pillar, also no hiss. What could be causing the hiss when both sets of factory wires are spliced in to? I've tried using and LOC with and without ground loop isolator.

Noticed yesterday that the passenger side visor was drooping on my 2020 JLU. Need to confirm that the arm has dropped out of the socket but certainly will return if it looks like the retainer will fix it!
