この曲を初めて聞いたのは、ラジオからの江利チエミの歌う曲で、何となくイイ曲だな位であった。　その数年後、ピアノが巧い彼女の弾くこの曲に、聴き惚れた。その後、二人は、別々の人生。　　先方は1円でも安い買い物の現実主義者のハズ。　こちらは時々彼女を思い出す、男はずっとロマンチスト。　　◆パティ・ペイジの最後は、ＴＶで、８０才過ぎであったか？突然、舞台で、歌が止まって『声が出なく成っちゃった』と。◆実は、ペイジの歌う姿は、この時が、最初で最後です。若い時のペイジは、こんな感じだったのか、と今頃、写真で拝見してます。　この曲は、イイ旋律の中に、独特の哀愁が漂っている名曲ですね。　　　　　　　　　　　　　Translate into English

My Dad used to sing this to us. I was small so I never heard it right from him. He would say " he stole my tomato" ... he did this to make us laugh! ... He has been gone many years now.
