Seeing him again in concert on May 5, 2024 acoustic show in DC. So cool to be able to see him after years of being a fan for 17 years. I saw him with his band Ours in VA in November of 2023. God such an honor to experience his music. Looking to the unplugged however, love the stripped down music as I've gotten older (40)

My favourite Simple Minds song. I was there last week, not too far from the front. Very good performance from the band. Jim Kerr's voice held up well too.

outstanding performance by SM last night , couldnt of asked for any better especially sarah brown and Cherisse Osei , cherisse solo was brrillant but in fact they were all extremley good.

Simple Minds and U2 created a sound but U2 are poor musicians compared to SM and the sound of SM is fuller thanks to the magnificent keyboards sounds.

U2 success in the 80's and 90's is pretty much down to producers like Brian Eno and Steve Lillywhite. U2 are still recycling J Tree and Achtung Baby in thier new tour

@@wackydoodlerobertson You and me both. I've been playing Copperopolis a lot lately and I think it's maybe a perfect album. I used to prefer Mighty Joe Moon, and while it does have some absolutely marvelous songs (Mockingbirds best single of the 90s, anyone?), there are a couple of weak moments. Not so for Copperopolis. Like you, I miss them...

@@mattgilbert7347 i never got to see them live or anything, and honestly i think they were one of these bands who shouldve gotten much bigger. If you haven’t heard of shiva burlesque, you should check them out! They were a band with the full lineup of grant lee buffalo in the late eighties, and just as great as GLB themselves
