I have to say, Harley-Davidson hasn't been an "American company" for a dozen plus years. There is not a damn thing American about the modern Harley Davidson. It's really sad to see how many people are still on that sinking ship, fuck it's already a submarine at this point. Profits and greed are the only things that are relevant to that massive company. As is true with virtually any massive company these days.

Thanks Mike. I followed your instructions and I am sure it will work fine. I only forgot the small o-rings on the temperature sensors, but greased them and they look fine. A local shop wanted me to pay over € 700,- for overhaul. I ordered the neccesary rings and gaskets in the uk for € 80,-. There was little soot build up in the furnace, only the flat round gasket on the furnace chamber was mising. I could not test run it yet, but I am sure it wil do fine.

That may be the conundrum…. as a logger you have to witness firsthand of removing the beauty so carpenters and manufacturers have something to do….
