The elastics of my MSR failed after two years, but the elastics on mymuch older North Face, Eureka, and MEC tents are all still fine. How is that? Do better, MSR.

Wonderful video, now how’s bout you start selling fly fishing gear in your stores in addition to the camping, climbing, biking, paddling, hiking gear you’ve got in there. You’d be saving the earth one car trip at a time, as I wouldn’t have to make two stops before every outdoor adventure.

Watching you run, especially how you land, got me thinking that a gait analysis might help. Experts could check out your unique running style and suggest the perfect shoes to support it.

The rods are made out of glass fiber (as the Germans call it). The carbon fiber rods are found on their premium race day shoe which is the Adios Pros. Still early on these shoes. I like it but the only thing that would make me love it is if the heel counter was a bit more firmer and the pillows that's supposed to lock your heel could be more bigger. I went down half a size because of the heel slippage and wore thicker socks but still get a little slippage feeling. Another need for improvement would be to gusset the tongue. I get a little bunching and moving of the tongue.

I too love applesauce! I use reusable baby food squeeze packs to bring banana date puree, sweet potato puree, applesauce with maple syrup and cinnamon, pureed beets with ginger, etc. I like using real food on runs!

Bike infrastructure is lacking in the US. Since i have started commuting hy bike, i find it so nerve racking that i cant find a place to lock my bike. One store, i have to lock it to a light post and another has nowhere at all unless i have a 10 ft cable. Even my work doesnt have a bike rack. Sucks. As for not forgetting your lock. I keep mine in my pannier at all times and it's the one pannier that I always take with me.
