Thank you, Sir! I’m gonna get on it! My ‘52 8N has the same issue with the hood and one of the doglegs.

Thanks for the video, our 6620 did the same thing. I ended up getting it done without removing the fuel filters, and just zip tied the new new cable to that hold down bracket in there.

I have looked all around youtube to figure this out. It has been very frustrating as most youtubers yammer on about nothing and are hopelessly vague when talking about this. Thank you so much for this!

Great video your idea of running the tractor helped us get the cooler apart. Ours required some air hammer at the same time

Simple, direct, and complete. Well thought out and without extraneous fluff. I’m having to do substantial maintenance on a 4430 that’s been in service for the past 45+ years and has not received a lot of love. Your video is pure gold. Thank you, sir!

I just did a 4055 and there are two 1/2" allen head bolts holding the bushing in a seperate housing, I just had to remove those and change the inner seal and the o' ring behind the housing, very easy and no beating. I changed the bushings in the yoke which had to be beat out/in and a new load control shaft, the shaft was wore but I don't think I really needed to change those bushings,

Im working at my 6600 combine at the moment.....replacing the bushings. However I never took any photos.....and I did notice the arms are different on each end. ( the short arms) How to know which goes where ? And which bolts need double nutting ? Also......I notices there are three different length bolts. Which of those go where ?

I have a question, so with the differential do you use the new hydraulic transmission oil as well for all 3 ??

Look for a hydraulic fluid labeled "Universal Tractor Fluid" often referred to as "UTF." Use this in all three compartments.

Excellent video! I appreciate this, instead of other channels that spend 7-15 minutes of yackety yak just to explain that they don't know how to do it, or how to do it wrong. Kudos to you! Good work!

Yes, there is some question Hy-Gard vs. 80-90 Gear oil. I have three manuals for the 6620...each with a different OM number. Two of them say to use 80-90 Gear oil, and one says use Hy-Gard. No dates in the manuals. Talking to JD folks the consensus seemed to be use gear oil...but I gotta hunch either is okay:)

Hi mates I have an old John Deere harvester, model 1068H. The transmission is manual type, and I want to change the fluid, but I don't know what kind of viscosity and specification to use. Can you give me your opinion? Regards!
