I have HIV-1 and just had my first positive test for (IGG) Toxoplasma. I also have very high lymphocytes count. Looks like I got bugs in my brain !

So, I usually listen to pathcast, and i was wondering if this short video about ependymoma would be good. 10 seconds in, i immediately subscribed. lol

Finished listening to the whole vid. Nice. This is more for medical students and pre-residents. Nice video though, very cool voice.

In 2018 I was infected with Toxoplasma which is caused by HIV, and the effect is that until now it is difficult for me to walk, talk and ride a motorbike. I have taken various kinds of medicine, but to no avail. can it still be cured? Can I go back to normal like before? 😢

Isn’t toxoplasmosis caused by feces? That’s at least what many doctors say

8:55 How come on the video, high-grade (3) of astrocytomas, there is less presence of necrosis? Is it not the opposite? Less blood supply, therefore more necrosis.

My son has group 3 type b ependymoma. Tumor was removed completely, no traces in spinal fluid or blood. We are currently doing radiation. Do we do Chemo? There is a small inconclusive study that said it may maximize survival, but at what cost?

@@user-fu5iq5gp5j Toxoplasmosis often transmits via feces and those who come in contact with feces and the bacteria with feces. How does HIV get transmitted mostly - especially if you’re a man? What is the common denominator? feces/fecal bacteria.

@@user-fu5iq5gp5jhoney your friend will be okay. The same thing happened to me 4 years ago. I was diagnosed with AIDs and toxoplasmosis on the same day. I had emergency surgery on my brain and after I started having seizures and I still have them. I never felt so horrible in my life, that was the worst feeling ever. Mentally and physically. Don't trust everyone, I trusted my boyfriend but he gave me that and when I got out of the hospital I had stitches on my head and he told me he didn't care if I died so I left.

1. Cautery artefacts indicate vascularity and bleeding during surgery. 2. Rosenthal fibres purplish pink. 3. Seen as gial reaction in non neoplastic brain parenchyma adjacent to slow growing tumors like craniopharingioma. 4. Seen in genetic conditions like Alexander syndrome, profusely. 5.
