1: the starting room of the trial chamber is the one with all those stairs where you found the waxed oxidized chiseled copper. 2: those vaults you couldn’t open are the ominous vaults, if you drink an ominous bottle the trials will become a lot harder and will reward you with an ominous trial key, which is what you use to open the ominous vaults. 3: and you can use wind charges to jump REALLY high! :)
