Thanks Francisco, if you are referring to the door Switch (Micro Switch) above the door then you will have to remove the front Panel. If it's the Door Catch which sometimes breaks off as in the video listed below (click the link) then this obviously fits into the Door. The Latch also requires removal of the front panel 😀. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWaVn2d6r9ChjMUsi=HSN7bB5eqfOd4sh_

Hey GCF. Nice vid. I'm having a go at my one tomorrow, it's different to yours, I have an AEG one, but the principles exactly the same. Can you tell me where you got your bearings and seal from please? I live in the middle of nowhere so I need to mail order from somewhere but not sure where to contact. I know it's been a while since you did this vid, judging by the comments it's the gift that keeps giving! hopefully it will save me the 7-800 replacement fee. Damn stupid way of manufacturing, makes everything obsolete after such a short period. The comment about the coil in another post (3 days ago), I think they are referring to the heater element, you appear to be in a hard water area, so even if you clean the fur off it will be fuzzy again in no time, not much mileage in it really. Calgon will get rid of it if it bothers you, you won't need to take it apart for that.
@green-crocs-fixes1520
@green-crocs-fixes1520 18 күн бұрын
Thanks Minddoctor, you have to measure the old Bearings and Seal once removed as a Sealed or Eco Tub is not designed to be replaced. You may also be able to obtain the Bearing number off of the old ones. Just request the sizes from an online seller if you're in the sticks from eBay or Amazon.

@@green-crocs-fixes1520 Thanks GCF. I exploded mine today, I had to pretty much remove EVERYTHING! It took me about 3 hours before I had the drum out. It was the top, the back and the complete front that had to be removed first, four suspension arms and two nightmare springs on top, then the motor, the weights and all the pipes and electrics. Would have been quicker taking the engine out of my car! My seam is a lot thinner than the one on yours, I have a 10mm rim to centralise the bolts in, which the heads are 10mm wide... I've started cutting the seam but there is no room for error. I am finishing it tomorrow. There are some real tricky points as I have to cut under some locating pins too, still it will either work or it won't. If it doesn't I haven't lost much, a bit of time and a handful of bolts. If it works out well then I'm gonna replace the drum rubber too as I have to take the top and front off (including the front weights) in order to change the rubber seal. while it's apart I may as well do it now. I found a bearing company online that looks promising, will do some further research when I know exactly what I need. Happy festive season to you and I hope you enjoy a prosperous new year.

@@green-crocs-fixes1520 Thanks GCF. I separated the shell today, that was just laborious, a hacksaw and a spare hacksaw blade just to get to the bits a full saw couldn't. Getting the drum out was a nightmare, it would not let go. I broke the head off one hammer, ended up with bits of wood everywhere because using wood as a drift just didn't work. I ended up using a 14lb sledge hammer and an 18mm socket to drive it out, even then it still took 5-6 heavy blows. The inner bearing was rather chewed up. I thought the half moon shaped balls were excessive until I found some tiny bits of ball the size of a small asprin. We definitely had our money's worth out of those. I found a bearing supplier about 40 mins away, so on Thursday I'm taking my bits of bearing and the seal for a drive to see if we can replace them. Thank you for all your help, guidance and encouragement, I hope your future successes match your dreams.

"Hey Siri" What is a Condenser Tumble Dryer ? A condenser tumble dryer collects moisture from your wet clothes in a container, sometimes referred to as a reservoir, which is located within the dryer itself. This tank collects the water and when it's full you simply have to empty it. Instead of venting it through an outside wall.
@danandlaundry
