As a hospital chaplain for 16 years and a hospital chaplain for the last 3, I say well done. There are many times at the hospital I wanted to discuss situations with families but was scared the "fix it doctors" would get upset. I have been a supporter of the palliative/hospice thought for many years. If Dr. Gawande's message could reach more medical schools dying, which we are going to do, would certainly be easier on the patient and what most Dr.'s don't consider the families. Well done
