Okay thus lady may attended his last show in ,, Indy,, ..and even recorded it BUT ....so did a few DUTCH fans !! ( i 'm Dutch myself ) On that day, June 26 1977 a few Dutch fans made it thru Indianopolis, they managed to take pictures, and also they filmed the show with multiple 8mm camera's ( with and without sound) and also they AUDIOTAPED that very last show, but her's the big difference They didn't use an ,, irdinairy cassetterecorder,, but instead, they used a professional portable ,, reel-to-reel recorder ! the sound is awsome compared to those other ,, audience-recordings,, On the early 90's i hot a VERY special friends-gift, from the person who recorded ,, Indy,, on June 26 1977 So what have , is a 1st gen copy of the original reel..only 4 other people on this planet have this ....( the source eventually was used for releases on cd like ,, ADIOS, but the master was ,, cut,, ( due to maximim cd space of 74 min. and digitally processed ) Forever tnx to Jan..( RIP)

I actually agree with the Colonel on this. Elvis was already on a downward slope that was visible, and the movie would emphasize this image and idea further in people’s minds. Especially if it would be successful and Elvis would be great in it. (Which I think) Then he himself would be helping to ruin his own image, by making a great acting performance. And if he didn’t make a great acting performance, or if critics and the public thought that, he would ”make a fool” of himself that way. I don’t think he could have won by doing this movie, and apparently The Colonel realized that, and probably Elvis too. It is a big irony that although he didn’t do the movie, he made it happen, with a lot of similarities to the plot, in real life instead. But at the time before the movie was made, completed and released this hadn’t happened yet. In hindsight we can see it.
