Wise man, wise words, honorable life. Great example of how to see clearly the light of hope in a world of darkness.

I remember you, Dr. Garringer! My father, Louis Kelly, was a frequent flyer to the emergency room 😊 (COPD, Alcoholism). When Dad would have to go to the hospital we would call to see what doc was on duty and we were always happy when it was you! You are a wonderful, intelligent, and compassionate Doctor. I hope you are well! ❤️

I saw them in October 1971 at the Winterland Ballroom, San Francisco, I remember them doing Echoes / Eclipse / Careful Axe Eugene / One of these Days and more with a great light show. In 1972 they recorded DSotM and became a different band/phenomenon IMO.

The Channel One Newscast I most remember was when they reported on Iran, and when they reported on Pakistan and India. As a kid, I was much more informed going forward after watching these segments, especially the one on Iran. The pro-western attitudes of Iran's urban population depicted in the newscast helped to give me a more nuanced understanding of that country. To this day, I still remember feeling impressed by all of the hidden satellite dishes on the tops of Iranian houses connecting ordinary Iranians to American pop culture; especially Baywatch as I recall!

... watching channel one news, first thing in the morning while being half-asleep, 😂...I remember how genuinely uninterested 99% of us were...kids can't really grasp the concepts they reported on either. Not to mention we only payed attention solely to pass the quiz that came afterwards...that means you can't comprehend what you're listening to in real time, when your only interest is regurgitating it for a test 😂. The nostalgia is great though. Hashtag 90's kids 🤙
