How was the river wye ever allowed to get in to the state it is in now. What a con, offset building on farmland by reducing the land mass of farms that arent built on. Ime all for wildlife as I farm organically but the only way is to stop building on grade one food land reducing our food security. remember if you dont stop now, a day will come when our population will starve.

How does the retirement of appstudio affect the ease of use of app development in the Esri ecosystem?
@ESRIUK1
@ESRIUK1 10 ай бұрын
Thanks for reaching out with your question. The retirement of AppStudio only affects the development of custom mobile apps within ArcGIS. There are four different Maps SDKs that support developing native mobile apps - one each for iOS and Android and two cross platform. This blog post explains a bit more about the options and links through to a useful FAQ: www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/appstudio/announcements/arcgis-appstudio-retirement-roadmap-and-beyond/

Hi I have questions on how the first map at the beginning of the video is animated. I’m struggling to create animation for tracking data that I would like to to flow in a similar style with the fading trail.
@ESRIUK1
@ESRIUK1 Жыл бұрын
Hi Rachel. The first animated map example comes from one of the exercises in our Cartography MOOC (www.esri.com/training/mooc/), which is well worth signing up for. The key to this animation is the use of two date fields to control when each track location appears and then disappears - set to a fixed interval so each location displays for a short period and then drops as the track moves on.

Hi, The demo in this session used data from OpenAerialMap along with the sample documentation (developers.arcgis.com/python/samples/count-cars-in-aerial-imagery-using-deep-learning/). The QR codes in the slides should still take you to the relevant resources.

Nice work. I was however expecting an explanation related to the initial video, showing movement like a species over a landscape, not earthquake. I will look into this further. I'm not sure how that animation is represented by two key frames in practice but if you have other analyses related to your ship movement across a landscape, I'd be interested. Thanks!

i dont get it, this is just a GPS right?
@MiishaKorvian
@MiishaKorvian Жыл бұрын
GPS is a data point, stuff like ArcGIS turns it into maps, that can be stacked, filtered, and analyzed. My fave example is that with the appropriate mix of datasets, you could run a urban flooding scenario and know exactly which areas will be underwater, which critical facilities are disabled, degraded, or functional, in seconds, instead of the hours it would take to do it by hand.
