Dancers go through a lot. This is just a fraction. I have heard many stories from many dancers of scary things happening. It is worse for foreigners due to a lot of fetishism from Arab men.

The status of a bellydancer is low in the mid-east, cause men are watching to it in a sexual manner. For women, they recognize the art behind it and can appreciate it for that. And plz, you cannot deny all the sexual harassment against un-protected ladies whom having the assumption to be protected..I don't think so! So thats why I have the opinion dancing should be happening in a safe environment, in a ladies-only concept..I really think you will have as much fun as in a mixed environment, maybe more, cause women understand each other better..💜

@@SuhailaInternational In 1987 I went on a school trip to Russia! Yeah, great school huh?! Well we went to Central Asia, Samarkand, Bukhara. It was there I got my first taste of belly dance. Saw it performed at a restaurant. Had never seen it live in the States.

This is such a fascinating look into Middle Eastern culture. I learned so much. But I still say there are many talented musicians around the world, but there is only ONE SUHAILA! You will always be my all-time favorite belly dancer. Best wishes to you and your loved ones.

This is so much mooore than a workshop. When I analyse the word: WORK + SHOP. The Community has to brainstorm about a more approriate lexical to embody those intensives experiences😅❤
