That's sad, I hope again one year the blue tits will do something other than sleep in my boxes, There's a a few magpies about here, but they don't seem that predatory, maybe the over abundance of food for them

Apparently they can travel a lot , up to a mile in a night, although it looks like there's lots of open space, there isn't that much, apart from a few open areas it's really all houses and because of the steep hill, most gardens are terraced with high walls, not hedgehog friendly.

Yep the one in this video is a female, "Male sparrow squeezes in" is the title of the 'related video' that jumps to a different video of a Male getting inside.

Yeah, but sparrows will happily regurgitate some previously eaten seed down their kids throats 🤮 , the blue tits have to hunt for🐛🕷️🦟 for their chicks.

For the first time ever, I've had to keep covering the bird table and not keep it full as always. I had the first lot of fledglings nearly 2 weeks ago, which were just settling down, and then a new lot appeared yesterday morning. I had nearly 80 today. The noise is unbelievable. I've all the other birds to think about who are getting frustrated because they are taking all the food. I still have a lot of corvids who have not brought their fledglings yet. The Magpies are really bad at the moment. I feel like a referee 😂 Their numbers have certainly increased this year. X
