I wish we could find out more information about the lesser known artists of the Renaissance era. Let's not only talk about the Renaissance era but before and after the Renaissance era. I am super curious if there was any pieces of lost art has been recovered since the second World War.

Who cares. It’s about who looks at it and what they see. Art is entertainment; like, dancing or music.🧑🎨♾️🙂

This was really helpful, thanks! I was researching some of his works and then it suddenly hit me, that we call him by his first name. This episode quickly explained everything I needed to know, so I appreciate that.

His painting of the last supper has been shown to be highly influenced by esoteric knowledge of things such as astrology, Egyptology, mathematics... He may have believed in Jesus but I highly doubt he believed in him the way most people do today.

Nce when are math and Egyptology esoteric?

It's hard to imagine that LD was not inspired in his work.
@anitalouiseart4 ай бұрын
We agree, even though some do not, but we also find it hard that he was not inspired and did not have a belief in God because of the kind of work he was able to create in his lifetime. Thanks for your comment.

I was struggling to find an answer High Renaissance for a long time, searching on Google and various websites, even watching videos on KZbin, but couldn't find the necessary information and knowledge I needed in Hindi. After 24 hours of research, your video popped up on KZbin, although it was in English. When I saw that it had Hindi translations in the comments, I saved it. However, after saving it, the Hindi translations weren't showing up as before. So, I watched it online again and thoroughly enjoyed the entire video. Thank you so much for creating this important and informative video.☺️☺️ I've found my answer now, and I feel a sense of peace. 😌

I believe you are correct in saying there is no evidence saying he doesn't, but I know there is also no evidence of saying that he did. Anyone can understand a character by reading a book, which obviously he did. That just proves he read a book. I'm not saying he didn't, I don't think anyone has a right to say he did. Believing is a choice based on one's perception. Perhaps he did and perhaps he didn't. All I know is he is very interesting and was very clever when it came to observation. Peace

There is no evidence to show the he believed in God but we believe he did because almost all people during that time went to church, the church was extremely powerful, Chances for a outspoken non believer to get church commissions as the Last Supper would have been difficult. Second my hypothesis in this was that the way he painted the Last Supper he had some deep understanding of the event that took place. If you study that painting you can see this. I personally believe he did but maybe he did not. But the likelihood he did in this time and place is very high.

@@anitalouiseart I have meet plenty of people that understand and paint in ways people would think they may be a believer. If he didn't believe and he stated that in those times he could not have done the things he did. You cannot judge someone's beliefs based on works portrayed from a book. He understood the character of the bible from reading it and reading a book and doing mainstream paintings to fund projects would be clever and a possibility. It is not evidence he believes, but evidence he read and understood the characters of a book.

I can't personally believe because I personally don't know and neither do you. For a believer to not pass the Godley information would push more towards he had no care for it, but had to accept he had to live among it. Like I said before all we know is how smart he was and he was obviously before his time. He knew stuff people didn't know. He didn't care for the mass of the word of the story rather more the story itself.

@BluePixelvideos Жыл бұрын
Today its hard to see what makes it great because the things that made it famous are now standard. Subject looking at you, subject is in focus while the background is blurred, 3/4 pose, the amount of details in lighting. Those things are standard in painting today but were not back then.

Subscriber number 53. I looked at your page, and one of the videos that caught my eye was how "Japanese art influenced Monet" which is going to be the next video that I watch. Monet is by far my favorite French Impressionist painter, (French Impressionism are my Favorites and what inspired me to both start painting and my love of art in general.) if it weren't for him I don't think we would have had Renoir. I'm also going to check out your website and I look forward to enjoying more of your KZbin videos. Thank You!😊
