Thanks for this! Great idea! Two questions: * The heatshrink torch... do you have a name/link for that? I've been looking for something that doesn't melt my solder when I apply heatshrink! * What is the hole punch you used on the cap nuts? Thanks!

Thanks, cool stuff there, I like your video! Here's a youtube video I want to share with you and everyone! The title is : Continuous Electric Display (CED) In this video, I will do a short demonstration of a new analog display technology, made with static electricity. It is a technique that uses the Jacob's Ladder effect. Also, here's a link to the video: I have split (youtu) from (.be/Rr6yPg_Vs-M?si=c-Uch5Ndoz4e_z5C&t=24) because the algorithm does not allow links. And I subscribed your channel! 🙂

WOW!! I LOVE this mini fireplace. It was really satisfying to watch you sculpting it 🎉out of styrofoam with an exacto knife, and then decorating it with basic craft materials like acrylic paint, glue and water, which all crafters have in their stash. Where did you find the styrofoam blocks? I'd love to try making this. Thank you for this great video tutorial. Merry Christmas, love from Amanda Jones in Melbourne, Australia P.S. Have you heard of Floetrol before? It's a paint conditioner that that thins down acrylic paint. I love it and it's not expensive either.
@InspiredStudio11 ай бұрын
Merry Christmas to you as well, and greetings from southern Estonia! ;) Thanks for the positive comment! ;) I've got a bunch of styrofoam leftovers from my home building days, just scraps left behind by builders. I've seen the same thicker styrofoam in the hardware store. I haven't come across Floetrol before, but I do have some thinners for acrylic paints. Although, I tend to use regular water more often. I'm pretty new to dioramas, miniatures, painting, and crafting, but I'm learning and experimenting a lot. I was quite busy with my day job for some years, but now I've gotten back into tinkering. I've already filmed many projects, and many more are prepared and ready for building. Soon after editing, I'll be releasing more videos-starting with simpler ones and gradually moving on to more complex and interesting projects.

Anyone can go out and buy things, right? But some years back, I got into this whole tinkering and building vibe. Before that, I was all about my job as a software engineer, just focusing on that and not doing much else because it was always easier and cheaper to buy or hire someone. But over some time, I discovered that getting my hands dirty and making things myself actually brings me a lot of joy and fulfillment. I've been in the game of creating virtual stuff like software and games for over 25 years, but now, I'm kinda digging the whole physical side of things too. Woodworking has become my new love, and I'm diving into learning and experimenting with electronics, robotics, you name it. It's a whole different world, and I'm loving every bit of it.

Awesome video ....my solder gun just arrived cant wait to try your techniques!. One thing tho, where/when did you use the resistors. I have them, came with the LED diodes, but dont know how or why to use them. 😃
@Wuingo Жыл бұрын
How do you get them to flicker?
@lunadargent5292 Жыл бұрын
There maybe another way but the LED diodes I bought were flicker ones
@InspiredStudio9 ай бұрын
In this case, I utilized a microcontroller for managing the flicker effect. Since there was already a microcontroller in place for the fireplace, adding control for the flicker to the same controller was straightforward.

Wait, you are really risking damaging your electrical integrated circuits of smd types! Even Diodes! You have to make sure to use ESD-Safe storage boxes… I had so many so-8 ICs damaged by leaving them in Plastic boxes…
@InspiredStudio Жыл бұрын
You are absolutely correct. However, the current situation is largely dependent on our budget constraints. This happens to be the most cost-effective method I've found for storing small components, and thus far I have not encountered any issues or concerns with electrostatic charges.

@InspiredStudio Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Unfortunately, I don't have a build video for this project, and I actually don't have videos for most of my builds. However, I'm always preparing and have dozens of projects in progress, as well as hundreds in my head or planned. Soon, I'll be releasing three power supply build videos. One small PSU is already in progress, another larger 2-channel one (which will replace this one), and a third one with higher voltage are already prepared and waiting for their turn.

hello your realization is really cool and I will be inspired by it I just have a question the on/off button must it be imperatively in 12v thank you I continue to follow you from France
@InspiredStudio Жыл бұрын
Hi! Tnx for the comment. Nothing is mandatory, it all depends on what you have. In my case I was using a 12v power supply and a 12v fan, so it was convenient to use a button with a 12v LED, there is no need for LEDs, they are just for design and looks.
