This is a great video and I enjoyed it very much! I appreciate you showing wholesome ways that young people can spend time together doing something positive. I will be sharing this with young people in my family. It was nice to meet you with your yurt tour over at Mick's channel- thanks for letting us in to see where you live. I have always enjoyed yurts! A friend of mine in Michigan made a larger yurt and wanted to make it more sturdy and permanent. They put a deck all the way around, added a lot of insulation and thick wood siding on the outside. I wonder about how much insulation you have in those walls and exactly what they are made of? My friend's yurt is a lot larger. Half of it was divided into 3 rooms- 2 bedrooms & a bathroom. The other half is a big open living room and kitchen with windows and double doors that open out onto the deck, with a nice view of the woods. There are bear all around them but they have not really been bothered. I hope you will not be bothered where you live either! Please keep us updated if you are able to stay warm enough when it gets really cold. I enjoyed seeing you guys all together and showing some ways to be self-sufficient! I am curious about what went into the pan with water? Did you boil potatoes and carrots in it? Or did it turn into tea/coffee/hot cocoa? A little more detail next time would be really interesting! I do look forward to your next video. 👍🏼💙🫡🌅

I have to echo Sally. It's awesome seeing you young people having good, clean, wholesome fun and entertaining yourselves & not hanging out in bars or playing video games all day. I'm a Girl In The Woods, Bush Radical (and his brothers channel), Betting on Alaska and now your channel. Your yurt is pretty darn cool. I had no idea how strong they are. Good stuff! thanks for sharing!

Good review. I have the full version--the Ursus 45 and love it. I can't wait to get this one to complete the set. I like the multi-colored handle. I also love that it is done with Magnecut steel. It doesn't bother me about the back not having a 90-degree spine. I don't use my knives on a fire steel anyway. I would carry both with me on camping trips. If I get into a situation the full version has a sharp spine all the way back.

Awesome review. I’m a fan of of the Ursus Cub. You mentioned wanting something a little bigger and a sharper spine, you might really look into the White River FC5, the FC series has probably one of the sharpest spines I’ve ever used

i will take 3v over mag anyday
@FarNorthEDC7 ай бұрын
3V is a great steel!!! Can’t beat it for overall toughness for sure!!!
@ShoahBiz7 ай бұрын
Why? There’s literally no reason to choose 3v in a blade profile like this. Magnacut has a little better edge holding, much better edge strength/stability, much better corrosion resistance, isn’t that much less tough at all and in fact plenty tough enough for about any knife, and it’s at least as easy to sharpen as 3v. All this at like 3 rc points higher on the hardness scale makes it a real winner imo
@ShoahBiz7 ай бұрын
3v could never support a thin and hard grind like magnacut can. Doesn’t have great edge stability

i've just found your channel and of course I have subscribed, great video and great content! I also have a couple advices about this knife review\test (from a one that watched bilion of these types of videos): -zoom on the knife sometimes to see how it perfoms while doing tasks -at one point during the video talk about the lenghts and weight of the knife (write them on video also) -maybe it would be more entertaing if you do multiple types of testing(with wood, food, rope etc..) Greetings from Italy 👋

Nice yellow Morakniv Companion Spark S! I got the exact same yellow one. Like Moras so much that I also picked up three (normal) Morakniv Companion (S) knives on sale; Military Green, Black and Anthracite Grey. Unbeatable value and such nice grips on these. My non-knife fan brother was so impressed by the bang for the buck, he had me pick up a Companion (S) for him too.

I like how you setup your fire! Going to try and post something similar with my knife/fire kit when the weather allows. The main thing holding me back from this knife is the small ferro rod that you mentioned. A longer one is easier to generate sparks with. I've found that out the hard way only carrying a minimal ferro rod before. Good video! Sub'd.
