Hey guys i have absolutly no clue about surfing but ive just seen Mick Fanning getting attacked by a shark and i wonder: like what do you do to protect yourselves from that as good as you can? Like is there smth like spotters? Im pretty afraid of sharks and don´t like go out into the water too far because of it. Couldn´t imagine surfing and being out there all the time. :(

The dorsal fin shows that it is clearly a dolphin. The shape is a curve swept back with a scooped back edge. Sharks have more triangular dorsal fins.
