Was recently researching a small caliper for EDC aswell. For a higher end, not pocketeable I hope to eventually source the CD-10AX from Mitutoyo. For a lower end EDC I found this "JAVIER 0-70mm" on 1688 that I liked will se when it arrives. Regarding the one you chose, I believe is a generic OEM one that is sold under many different brands and likely cheaper to buy directly from china, also considered that one.

What's the threading tool? I'm not familiar with it, nor know how it works or what you'd use it for.
@stcaro1
@stcaro1 4 сағат бұрын
@@Adrian_Galilea there’s no threading tool in the clip @Adrian_Galilea , if you are referring to the small hook do a search for “latch needle” ( if you speak romanian look for “ ace de remaiat “. They are designed to pull a loose or broken thread on a piece of garment onto the other side ( inner side) so that is not visible anymore and to repair clothing in the same way (by pulling a broken fiber through one or multiple open loops nearby) .They come in handy when you need too extract human or animal hair/fur from a clogged sink or shower without dismantling the entire thing ( specially the long ones) but I use them a lot to customize soft plastics for fishing .

@@stcaro1 I'm watching a few vids to see if it makes more sense, so far I don't quite get the EDC usage, just a vague understanding from your phrases. If you ever do a video of how you use every bit of the kit(or others), it would be great. Thank you!

I thought this video was going to be another one that delivered little content. You started slowly (imho) but offered some really useful ideas, regarding the Cobra XS. I had banished mine to the bottom of a toolcase, replacing it with a Cobra 150mm, which i found far more practical for my EDC. I'm going to look again and possibly pair it with my Flex Companion and 1/4 bit kit. The bit driver that always lives in my pocket though is the Hazet 810BHK (being phased out for the improved 811BHK). Subscribed!

Very nice indeed what multi tool is your favourite the tti or the leatherman arc?
@stcaro1
@stcaro1 19 күн бұрын
@LeathermanSurge-q6l It’s hard to say but I tend to favour the Arc lately more and more. For me they have different purposes Arc is the city boy and Charge is the outdoors guy. I like the one handed operation of the Arc, I like the locking system for the implements ( especially blade) on the Arc, and I like the bigger scissors of the Arc but, there’s a but there, I really miss that serrated blade of the TTI ( especially the gutting hook which was my go to for cutting cable ties and opening blister packs)and the removal pocket clip. Also, I hate thumbstuds and much prefer the blade shape of the TTI. Speaking of shapes, I also prefer the can opener from TTI especially the wire stripper which is more versatile.That being said, both of them are Incomplete and come with too much unutilised space.
