Mate, you can´t do this to me! I finally get somebody recommended on youtube, I genuelly like and you stopped uploading 5 Months ago :C Seriously! I just watched your video why you switched from ESO to Guild Wars 2 and was absolutly amazed. I really hope you´ll come back, with videos where you talk about different MMO´s and review games I think you could really make it.

My life changed drastically (in a good way) around June, and so did my full time job, so the energy and effort required for regular KZbin content just isn’t available at the moment. I do have at least two videos planned for the end of the year, beginning of 2025, but those will be a little different (one about video games, the other books). But I do appreciate your interest in my opinions 😊

I played all mmos... aion, lineage, silkroad, pw etc. Gw2 day one bought Dvd and still my favorite. Currently playing GW 2 and TL

I saw this video soon after it first came out and it popped onto my feed again. All I can say is that in the time in between, your journey has become my journey and I'm exploring Tyria and spending time with a new group of people in a guild. Guild Wars 2 is definitely worth our time and effort.

Brahm's a little bitch. Now that's out of the way....I might go back. I'm currently trying ESO for the first time and well....uh....I can't seem to get enough motivation to explore and level. Something about the game puts me off. I've been with GW2 since day one so I might head back. Last thing I remember I was trying for the Griffin mount.

ESO has been mediocre years ago and is now just bad. P2W, bugs, no/bad balancing, lags, lootboxes, paywalls, grindy on purpose (drop-timer/limits) no good endgame boring PVE etc. I thought ESO would be enough to play till Ashes of Creation will be released- but I don´t see that happening anymore. The game design and the management of the game is probably the worst I have seen in years (and I have played lots of games over decades). The publisher ZOS clearly has no love for their own game. Bugs do not get fixed, not even broken core-game-design elements. Features are often just copied from other mmos- in the worst possible way. It is, seemingly, always the least amount of effort that goes into the creation of content. New bugs/problems after every (!) new big patch/DLC/chapter are normal in ESO. The publisher just squeezes hard for the last bit of money they can get out of the game before it dies. I didn´t buy the last chapter anymore- since it clearly crossed the p2w line. Bought myself some other games instead. ESO is simply not worth it (anymore)

GW2 genuinely sucks and the love its getting recently is from bored nerds fed up with the current MMO they've spent too much time and money playing. GW2 is literally the swill of MMO addicts pooling together to culminate the largest gathering of putrid character skins and mounts. Nice overworld with plenty to do, somehow with the least immersion and charm out of any other MMO. You'll be back on whatever MMO you started on within a month of playing GW2 It's worse since it hit steam too Many disagree now, but just wait a few more months and the cracks will show in this awful fucking game

I use an elite controller, since i hate mouse and keyboard... and i don't want carpal tunnel in my 40s, and i also enjoy First person combat. guildwars2 doesnt support either of those. so i had to pass

I've been playing Guild Wars 2 on a controller for the last four years. It's not that hard to set up. I've been using Steam controller configurator with my own custom bindings, and options for long-press/multi-press inputs. Why should the devs give you something you can set up yourself?

Spent over 10k Hours in ESO and i quit and deleted my ESO Account about 4 Years ago when i started with GW2.. Finally no "pay2win ish" PvP/WvW. ESO became totally Cancer with their Procsets every disabled and blind person can kill Peoples with lowest effort possible lol. Also got so sick of the "battle royale ish" playstile of ESO.. Nerfing Basegame or old Expansion / Dungeon DLC Sets to the ground to make the newest shit shine.. and this over and over again... So you have to Grind new Gear every few Months for each Character because the old one got nerfed or the new one is so broken op, everyone have to use it... With all that Stuff GW2 is sooooo much better.. Also pretty fast Endgamegear (Ascendend same stats as Legendary lol), so its not an endless Grind for the best Gear etc. more Grind4Fashion (Gemstore Gold to Gems) or Grind4Lazyness with Legendary Gear.

"PVP players cast aside for your lucrative brother PVE" I mean let's be real, for a while Mama Arenanet DID go hard on the PVE attention more, but at least there's some attempts here for PVP to eat at the table. Just recently we're testing a new PVP game mode and they're trying to work on WvWvW, its still rough goings at times. ESO PVPers wondering "They let you eat? There's a table?!" poor schmucks

I started Guild Wars 2 a month before ESO release to test an MMO out for the 1st time to see if it's something for me and got hooked. Tried to get into ESO after that, but it always felt more sterile and less alive and welcoming. Also I found a guild and friends fast which was harder in ESO as a new MMO I guess. Also I preferred the more agile and hit or miss PvP/WvW in GW2. And the animations... Also, I felt more free playing a game without a subscription and not being 'forced' to play max in my free time. So I stayed in GW2 instead for over 18k hours now 😅

I think GW2 has the best marketing possible which is THE PLAYERS. Its like Breaking Bad/ BCS where you dont need to see a commercial for it by producers but you hear about it everywhere from passionate fans. That way you know it will be something good and even though as semi-casual player there are things that piss me off like timegating in legendaries/ascended or collections which you want to get through or sometimes the story sucks (Im looking at you SOTO) still its really fun game with cool class design, ton of build variety, excelent dungeon and mount system, fun META event and ton of evergreen content which is still relevant and will be in future.

"Just smashing A to get through dialog" "Pushing you to end game" See, there is your problem with ESO. That isn't what the game does. It's got so much content and story for you to enjoy at your own pace. I love GW2 as well :)

@@Adalon- for the record the smashing A through Dialogue was the trivial quests from NPCs in zones, or after 3-4 years or playing. When I started I was reading all the dialogue and engaged in all of the story. Over time though it just felt like the same thing, rinse and repeat. I think I just grew tired of it over time. I’ve been playing a lot of FFXIV lately and the cutscenes have been refreshing!

I played ESO for 4 years, was huge into all content the game had to offer. But I was a PvP main, and after years the PvP meta consistently getting worse, I decided to completely give up on the game. I didn't play another MMO for a couple years, but the MMO itch came back, and I still never wanted to touch ESO again, so I gave Guild Wars 2 a try. And I am absolutely loving Guild Wars 2. I don't know if it's the better game, but the community I like a lot more, the world feels a lot more alive. And as a solo player I feel like there is a lot more to do.

I enjoy multiple games/mmos, no need to choose one. I disagree that tamriel is not as interesting. I absolutely love the solo questing and that each new expansion is not designed with only endgame players in mind. Not sure why you say it is, maybe because you said you skip all dialogue? 95% of each new expansion can be enjoyed by brand new players. Sorry, but you are objectively wrong on that issue. If endgame was all you cared about then cool, but saying its all there was to do is beyond false. That said, I enjoyed guild wars 2 and hope to return someday or hope for a 3.

Its interesting how differently people can perceive the same things. All the things you cite as negatives in ESO are what i love about it. Meanwhile, I find GW2 to be boring. It just doesnt keep my interest, despite several attempts to get into it😊

played ESO WOW and GW2....and also every game had its main time, looking back, i think GW2 was the most enjoyable and less stressful game of them all. NOT the most addicting so...but that is a core part of its design, no hamster wheel.
