Great video. I just added the navy sailcloth and the green sailcloth to my cart on Artem's website. I'm on the fence about the quick release option and the deployant clasp for my 38mm Aqua Terra white dial, same as yours. I had no idea the green would look so good! I wish they'd do a green strap with white stitching! Let me know your thoughts.

That would be a nice touch, white stitching just to accent the green 👍

That is a beautiful watch IMO. Never heard of the brand and first video I have seen from Peter. This is a wonderful change from the mainstream watches I tend to follow. Square case and beautiful dial with well blended colors. I understand other comments about the hour markers, but to me this adds interest. Well done.

Even as a European I have always found their prices a bit too steep. Therefore it's not something you'd just add to a collection as a trial. Perhaps that's also not their market. Countrymen Beaubleu also seem to push their prices that bit further than I think truly warranted. I'm not sure if here it also applies that the LJP movement is/should be rated higher than a Miyota. Personally I tend to prefer the logic of a caller's GMT anyway. That said, the cleaner look on their time & date versions is preferable to me, even if the GMT hand also adds an interesting and coherent accent.

Really like this style of watch. I agree, the bracelet can be improved. A little pricey, but I don’t think you find yourself around anyone that’s got the same as you. Great review as always.

Nice. But I don't like the way the crown was integrated. The square shape suggests a standard 3 o'clock position. The fact that it's at 4 o'clock makes it stick out like a sore thumb.

From what I’ve seen in their watches over the years it’s a purposeful design choice Shows off the intricacy of detail on that crown

That is a funny story involving your wife. I woulda thought the case shape makes or more masculine or professional maybe. Just my interpretation of the look and of what i think women would like. Bear in mind i can bever find my wife a present she likes so im by no means an expert on female tastes. I really like the design...but the negatives mentioned, crown too small , no second hand..and perhaps a bit too expensive.. Keep ot from being at rhe top of my wish list..(in saving up for a nice watch mode atm). Also, i agree re a logo or a letter M would be a nice addition.

Love the looks and design, very intriguing and different. I might have to save up for this as its definitely peaked my interest. Your right about that clasp, a nightmare to get off especially if you wear your watches tight (wore a vintage Tissot the other day with same style of clasp, took me an hour to get off). Great video thanks Peter.

$2.7K for a strap that's a dust/lint magnet... Going for the cheapest cost cutting option while squeezing the last $ out of the customers pocket.

This watch is a bit different, but isn't it trying too hard ( hour indices and crown placement for example ) to be different. And then there is a price ( I know, quite a good movement ), but quite high for a relatively newcomer. Then again they're asking AU$ 540 for sunglasses. I still enjoyed the review, spot on comments.

Great review Peter. I have the all black version. I wholeheartedly agree on how well they paid attention to detail. Astounding. I had a lot of watches and I certainly didn't need another one but this company's watches are so right on that I am delighted to look at my wrist and see it there.

A watch with character, very nicely made and at a "refined" price...Others might say "reasonable" if they were talking about the quality/price ratio. This AM2 GMT is still sold at a lower price, for the most expensive of them, at €2000. The number 3 on the date is also my month of birth. Thank you M. Peter Kotsa, l will discuss with those around me the most honorable way to reconcile, for me, this lucky number and a watch !

@ a pre-owned one. Yes. Also, when you’re looking to spend this kinda money on a watch, most people are going to want to spend a little more and aim a little higher. But hey, they’re free to make these watches and overcharge for them. They’re very nice, I’ll admit that. I just see so many new watches, and I wonder how they plan to compete against these big dawgs.

I’m sorry, the hour markers at 1, 5, 7, and 11 stick out like sore thumbs and I can NOT make sense of the intended design significance of them. They are identical to their brothers but, clearly are from a different marriage, so to speak. The crown fit to the case also bothers my eyes, there is something odd and off about that contour... I, also, do not appreciate a bracelet that requires 3 hands to put on. Both my eyes are sore after looking at this ‘watch’ for just a short while, and I do NOT think my hand would ever be allowed near my wallet to consider a purchase... Sorry.

@@PeterKotsa Hi Peter, You like the markers that are horizontal, next to the others that are angled towards the center? My eyes cannot get used to the contrast. I find the surfaces surrounding the crown where it contacts the case to be odd also. The way the case is profiled next to the lug and on the opposite side, near the 3 o'clock, are not balanced, and rather odd. Thanks for the review, Have you had a chance to look at the new Venezianico Arsenal? An awesome dial! Cheers from Montréal, Canada Alain L.

I appreciate it when brands do unique designs. Sometimes it works and sells, sometimes not and sometimes it is nice but not an auto buy (price being one of many factors). So the ultimate test of a watch is would you buy it if you had to spend your money on it? Also how long does it stay in your collection (I've seen plenty of positively reviewed watches last less than a year in a reviewers collection). To me the case is too large and clunky. Also I can get a Stratton Speciale with a similar case shape for much less

Hi Pete. Being French, this brand doesn't provoke any particular emotion in me. You say that the design is unique. For me, it reminds me of the Seiko Vanac/Advan from the 70s, which were really unique. Fashion is an eternal recommencement. Yeah, meh! 😉

Hey Fabrice, I don't see the similarities to the Seiko, maybe theres a specific model, im not sure. As far as fashion being an eternal recommencement, I totally agree brother, there is nothing new under the sun. Ideally everything that is, has been before 👍
