Going to comment again 12 years later. Still a top tier song that I’m jealous to miss this performance.

For sure. In my top 3 songs for TDH and it's hard for me to think of another song that makes me feel all the emotions this one does. It's certainly one of a kind and a shame it isn't played the world over.

Fuck me. It takes some balls and chops to belt this banger acoustic. 🤘🏼

They have NO idea what talent is in front of them. If they knew that the way to see them now looks like this photos.app.goo.gl/7XezzyqUcrjvBNqW9 This was The Dear Hunter headlining last year at the Anaheim House of Blues to a packed audience.

This guy never ceases to amaze me. Those vocals are INSANE. Even if I had no idea who he was, if he started singing at a restaurant I was at I would consider my bread rolls buttered goddammit.

Amazing voice and the screams!! 12 string sounds so nice

Guys, it's a restaurant. The people were eating their food; that's what you do at restaurants. You don't need to look at Casey to appreciate the music as you eat. I don't think the broad assumptions, spite, and hatred for a group of strangers whose behaviour and lives you're reading so deeply into reflects well on us as fans.

What the fuck is this bummer place? He's being BRILLIANT there and the only thing these shitty pigs are giving fuck about is their trough...what a sad,sad day for humanity

I love when bands do stuff like this. It's a beautiful song to begin with.

I love how the girls all jump when he starts the song... At least the girl on the right seems to recognize his greatness for half the song.

when he goes "calm down" I think they were expecting something like "this is a robbery"

I hate it when people cut their videos off right after the performance. I like seeing the audience's reaction :-(. But amazing rendition of the song, too bad it was so empty.

Casey is an incredible song writer and his band is great live. I've seen them live twice and both times they were opening for bands with less talent and song writing ability. Also both time their set got cut short because of technical difficulties. If you ever get the chance, the Dear Hunter is incredible.

I love TDH fans enthusiasm, but good grief, I wish some of them realized that you're supposed to shut up during the music. Give the string quartet their due respect!

I love The Dear Hunter! It's common to be ignored as a performer. A ton of people just don't care anymore. If it's not popular or on the radio they could care less. There are still some that acknowledge you though. *sigh*

I wouldn't say it's a travesty. I think it awesome that he plays small venues. It makes the experience much more intimate. This was also a free show. However, I do believe that Casey deserves to sell out huge venues. Such an incredible musician!
