Anyone getting this I would highly recommend not. I own this and it broke within 2 weeks, customer service told me to repair it myself and sent me a video and said “everyone fixes it” the video is taking the entire thing apart which is basically 30-40 screws, electronics etc.. here’s the video they sent me as if this is a normal thing to ask of a customer on a brand new fireplace at this price point. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYbZfIBoq6iliJIsi=vXTqwLwnHD__A3yu

Removed a section in my camper where the entertainment area is and installed. Works great. Instead of propane furnace heat, I can use this kzbin.infoUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo to heat the camper as long as it's hooked up to shore power. Only thing I do not like is there does not seem to be a thermostat. I'm presuming it has a built-in one so it does not overheat. Really like all the other color options it has to offer.

Not even close to the biggest EPA stove. You should reference the EPA certified firebox volume rather than the advertised volume, as they do not include baffles or fire bricks in the 4.28 number . The EPA has a great website that you can sort by firebox volume. For a CAT freestanding stove the Blaze King 40 is the top contender, and for a non-cat freestanding stove the Lopi Liberty is the biggest. Buck 91 is 46th largest wood stove type certified in the US - which includes freestanding stoves, inserts, and zero clearance stoves.

I was looking to buy the modern flames Orion series. But when I saw it in person the front glass was so reflective it looked almost like a mirror. How is the front piece of glass on this litedeer unit compared to the modern flames Orion? Also, do you happen to know the difference between the latitude and latitude II series? Thank you

I bought this unit and had Captain Soot (Jeff, the guy in the video) install it. Jeff is a stand up guy. His installers are excellent. I also had them do some work on my chimney and raised hearth. I’m super happy with this unit and their work. 25 hour burn time is seemingly not realistic with my unit. I’ve gotten 14 hour burns. I think I could get even longer with larger logs. Either way I’m super happy with this unit. It’s beautiful and heats my whole main floor.

That’s true. But when you watch it live your eye can’t discern that difference because the other side has already changed by the time you look there. You’d have to do what you suggest here, stop the video to see the duplication. Not as big of a deal for that reason. Most people won’t catch on to this in a normal setting.

can you change the flame height or speed? also notice that there if you draw a line down the middle of the fire, it looks like there are 2 modules and that they're duplicated. so whatever tech is going on here, it's in this box twice which takes away from the realism which is a shame. just pause the video while the fire is going to see what i'm talking about if you can't see it while the video is playing. once you see it, you can't unsee it sadly. the embers & sparks happening at the same time on both modules was what caught my attention, and now i see the flame duplicated on left/right too, ugh.

The model that this Litedeer Latitude II is most commonly compared to is the Modern Flame Orion, which retails for almost twice as much money. The Orion displays the exact same appearance. If you pause a shot of the Orion flame, you will see that one half of the flame pattern is an exact copy of the other half.

Right? You would think they could just run the two modules out of phase with each other to fix the double vision effect.

why does the slim unit look like the fire is lagging in the video? edit - additionally, the fire is duplicated/mirrored. pause the video, split the fire in half visually, and notice that the group of flames on the left is mirrored on the right. once you see it, you can't unsee it. unacceptable considering these units are nearly $6000usd

What you are seeing is the LCD Screen Metal Bracket that holds both screens. As Sushibaka69 said previously the bracket can barely be seen by anyone. Also it looks that the Orion Slim Flame speed is going much faster than the flame of the Orion Multi in this video. Which is a super cool edition to the fireplace being that you get 3 different flame styles and 3 different flame speeds. LCD Bracket or not the Orion is the best on the market and worth every PENNY!

So much glare hard to see anything. But can you confirm that the top panel of the fireplace is not visibly slanted down towards the back like a Chaska 34 is? Also, the brick liner doesn't seem to line up on the edges and the back? If somebody did brick work it would be a smooth curve and the lines of the brick joints would line up from side to back and all around like a brick turret. But when they don't it looks very fake.

This might be what I'm looking for. The mountain house has a metal box and is a semi circle opening. It's beautiful but no power to push air out of it. This looks like it could fit with that surround piece. Then I can go up and actually heat the house while I'm there. With covid and everything going up, I'm sure this won't be cheap. How easy is it to replace the fan motor if it goes. I've got an Osburn 2400 insert and have had it for about 24 years now. It still runs great. Had to replace the original fan and that's it.
