What I didn't like about the movie is how she never feels physical attraction to him. She's just there because he's great guy and will take the baby.

The physical attraction is insinuated at the end of the film, however, the book makes it far more clear that she grows to find him very attractive in the end.

Skeet played Ray beautifully. They were both good in this. Wow. My favorite scene was Ray’s joy that the baby was coming when he scooped her up and carried her into the house. Such joy.
