During the game, after Sun Wukong beats the bosses, he can absorb their abilities or acquire their weapons as his. During fighting with other bosses, he can transform into the bosses he absorbed before and use their unique abilities. The 72 transformation and 81 devils are coming from the original Chinese Mythology, Journey To The West. I don't think Game Science will implement all of them, because it won't be practical for players to manipulate that many forms and abilities.

simple is wukong is a special demon monkey who was born from a magical stone form around "huaguo" mountain or the fruit and flower mt. and being nurtured or simple is the stone suck all the mana from nature and make his own life and then wukong born from that stone, that's why in the scripture wukong being called as a stone monkey, anyway long-story short he was born and then the monkey suddenly bow down to all four cardinal directions and shot a laser from his eyes, the laser reach the heaven and caught the attention of the jade emperor (zeus of this universe), jade emperor curious about that and told his army to check wht happened, the army went see what happen and returning to tell what happen to the jade emperor, after that the jade emperor asking one of the goddess the goddess name is "qwan yin", (i forgot what goddess she is), jade emperor asking goddes qwan yin to watch over wukong as he grow, long-story short wukong grow and became the leader of the monkey clan in huaguo mt. one day he saw one of the elders monkey got sick bcs of old age and suddenly die, at that time wukong didn't know the concept of death anyway long-story short, he kinda didn't like how all of his monkey clan just gonna go out like that, so he set a journey to find someone who could teach him immortality, anyway he went out to find this person for a whole 9 year and then he find this person but it's not that simple, the person reject him multiple times but wukong persistence and stuborness make the man melted and willing to accept him as a student after that he learn the way of immortality for years ( i forgot how many years, but as i remembered its a lot basically), long-story short after he finished with his training he went back to his hometown and found out that his ppl being kidnapped by a demon, so he went to that demon lairs and beat the shit outta that demon and bring his ppl back, after that they took all that demon weapon that he collect. now his ppl had all the weapons to defense themselves but not for wukong, i mean he need the weapon that match his name as the monkey king, so he heard a rumored that the dragon king palace in the eastern sea had lot of weapon store in their palace, so without any further do wukong went flying to that place with his qinton clouds and asking the dragon king to borrowed him his weapon, he promised to dragon king to give it back but in reality he just deceive the old man ( yeah the dragon king depicted as a old person in tv show that i watch, that's y im calling him old, bear with it ok ), anyway wukong succed to persuaded the dragon king, but none of the weapon in the stores that matched with what his looking for, so he went outside and saw a giant pillar which support eastern sea, and wukong fall in love for the first time with that weapon, so he asking the dragon king to gave him the pillar as a weapon for him, but the dragon king kinda hesitate first, but finally he decided to gave wukong the pillar with a condition if wukong can pick up the giant ass pillar with his hands then the pillar is permanent gonna be wukong weapon, so wukong agree, then wukong lift up that pillar with his hands and pluck it from the ground and the pillar can transform into small stick, wukong name it "ru-yi jin-gubang", basically the stick can shrink and enlarge according to the owner order or even multiplied, so yeahh it's a sick weapon and perfect weapon for the monkey king. that's it for the lore actually there's much to it, but it's gonna be longer and i cannot tell everything in here, but the game is a black myth, so it's not gonna follow the cannon storyline it's gonna take a bit of a turn and spice a bit more up also this is gonna be a twisted story, a lot of easter egg in this game that only a pro know aka chinese archeologists, so ordinary ppl like us that not exposed to this culture not gonna understand anything so yeah, also the one who give wukong name is his teacher that teach him immortality. For the journey to west story u guys could search urself, bur im gonna shorted a lil bit in here wukong rampaged in heaven bcs of discrimination----- and start an all out war with the gods-----no one can stop him------ the buddha came and challenge him------ wukong lost and imprisoned for 500 hundred years------find a monk who could release him and sign a contract with buddha------ in order for wukong to gain full freedom he need to escort this monk in the journey to the west to find buddha scripture with his 2 companion pigsy and sandy (pig demon/ "zhu bajie" and shark demon/sha wujing).

What's up i can't wait for toy story 5 either and you also right too about the younger generation these kids being on their ipads, cell phones, Nintendo switch well that's because their parents buy them electronics and stuff to keep them entertained and busy. It's a different generation for ya. For us generation back then it was different but now things changed. Parents buy kids Nintendo switch, iPads, cellphones at a very young age.
