Nice, the 1000 suzuki v twin is a peach of an engine. Had an SV1000 some years ago, loved it. Im awaiting delivery of a new vstrom 1050 de, cant wait to get on it. :)

Do you prefer this or the GS for street riding?

Personally the vstrom I just like how I have it set up it’s nice and nimble nice sound, the gs is amazing though does anything you want it to while being very comfortable

@yearlongpower What mods have you done on each (gs and vstrom) also what tires and cold tire preasures do you use?
@yearlongpower3 ай бұрын
Gs nothing, vstrom I did nissin front brake calipers and master cylinder, front progressive springs, yss rear shock and 25mm Jack up kit suspension links makes it easier to turn, also installed a booster plug

I use Michelin Road 6 using 34/38 psi cold, Suzuki says 36 36 solo 36, 42 two up for vstrom if your not sure just use 36 42 and go from there, all depends on the roads you drive and how hot it is, you won’t really notice difference unless your really pushing it honestly
@nikos.kouts33 ай бұрын
Also what tyres and tyre pressure do you use on the gs??
@yearlongpower3 ай бұрын
@@nikos.kouts3road 6, 40 36 to make them last longer or in faster rides 38 34, I couldn’t feel the front of the gs very well so I didn’t really matter what pressure I had, I don’t have the gs anymore
@nikos.kouts33 ай бұрын
How does it compare with gs 1150??
@yearlongpower3 ай бұрын
stock the gs is a better bike, better brakes, better stock suspension, but I prefer my vstrom with all the mods I’ve done to it now, more power it feels lighter and more nimble and I just love the sound of a vtwin

Is there an powercomander on this one? Sound so healthy and snappy🤘🏽
@yearlongpower4 ай бұрын
Not yet but soon will probably get ecu tuned or power commander, but she runs fine as it is but I prefer to keep the baffles in, it’s atually a bit too loud without them, I took em out for the video

@@yearlongpower sound insane with the qs, i have a 03 model that im gonna build to an «lighweight» dl 1000. I want to install an boosterplug and qs aswell🤘🏽 ride safe!

@@yearlongpower It's not really a shake, it's more like a vibration, usually noticeable when you're at idle. If you press the clutch while at idle and release it, you'll notice the difference in noise if the clutch basket is starting to have problems. I myself have also a DL1000, and it's starting that slight vibration, although still very minor, but you notice it.
