Have you ever wondered about the people in the games? What if they want to get out and get free will once you turn the console off and the prompt commands end? How long have they waited? As a kid this question pondered as I looked at these digital characters that felt so real, their stories, sometimes.. I went up to the screen to look at their eyes. Maybe I’m too naive but they felt “alive” like maybe a soul inside that digital character. But I realized that the reflection was me. We are all digital characters playing a game we might know or not know, waiting for a player for the operator to let us switch off and find a way out of the source code. Can anyone relate? That’s why I relate so much to video characters, as much as they seem non real, they are , because, we are. But we also aren’t. We’re digital or physical, but are we really alive?

To this day I still cannot believe a human being composed this…It’s absolutely otherworldly and Zerofuturism’s done it so much justice with the PS2 ambience. Thank you for reuploading this treasure which has no doubt helped many in times of need…

As a kid I would often not put anything into the system and simply watch this lovely display, drifting away. I would also draw countless pages of art and still have them to this day.... Those were the good old days 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

OKAY so we're nearly at a million views... WHAT THE FUCK? Guys I would again like to inform you all that this is not my work. The orginal was taken down due to copyright stuff with KZbin. I reuploaded to try and keep this alive, which consent of the orginal uploader. This video was orginally created by: kzbin.info If you like this style of stuff, I implore you to go sub to them and listen to their work, I have been an avid listener of their stuff for years now. I really appricate all the kind words and heartfelt stories I've been reading, I have read all of your comments that you have been posting. And if you are reading this Zerofuturism, thank you for creating this ambience to begin with. This has kept me going through so many late nights and helps me focus on things I've lost, so I can always remember them when I am a better person.

I just remember being a kid, 4-5, 2002, ps2 just released. Summer, hot af. I remember waking up jumping from my top bunk, big bro had the bottom bunk, i ran to the game room, snuck past my parents room to get to it, seeing that fat back tv with that fat ps2 😂. Turn that hoe on. Play Kingdom Hearts. That sound always got me.

The PS2 was amazing, My dad got it for me when I was little and it was a surprise. my first game was Ratchet and Clank, part of the reason got me hooked immediately and wanting more. The Emotion Engine for the PS2 was surreal back then. it made the console feel like it was alive and part of the reason for the sounds of how the PS2 makes. it was remarkable for its time and I was glad to be in the moment.
