it sounds amazing! I just dont get how come using double cabs with the exact same settings and getting it through the same output work. If they had different mic, mic placement or level I'd see the point..so I'm curious to learn why! thanks in advance

Honestly it gives a little volume and width. I won’t have to cramp up the master so much with two cabs compared to just using one. And this video has been a rare case lately of me only using one cab for those blocks. I’ve been using two separate cabs with different settings lately for tones personally.

I’ve always felt like Nolly and Nolly X were more producers trying to find the right tones. The plugin is so versatile and you can find almost any guitar tone you’d want for a record. Plini X and Gojira X are more geared towards the tones that they use in their music. All 3 of these plugins are amazing and I own all of them but I do feel like Nolly X is more versatile than both of them. I’m excited to get Nolly X in the QC to combine the 3 easily 👀

I'm a total noob so the Marshall based preset I made didn't sound awesome. Probably needs a fair bit of EQ for that Marshall high end. Interested to see what your thoughts are!

Tom Delonge uses Vox AC30 amps for his cleans. It’s very well documented.

Depends on the time period, since Lifeforms Tom has gone full Axe Fx 3. Unless he or Aaron tells us, we won’t quite know. Most people looking for his blink tone in the 2000’s would be looking for some combination of Fender Dual Reverb, JCM900 + Dual Recto. Tom ditched that upon leaving blink in 2005 and went with Fender Dual Verb + AC30. It is very well documented 😂

Sounds great! But if you want to get even closer, Chris uses a capture of an Orange Rockerverb 50, and Ryan uses a capture of a Marshall JCM800 "through some cab". I know at least the 2nd one is stock on the QC! I think there are a few Neural Captures of Rockerverbs included too.

A7X's tones are just sooo different, waking the fallen was super bassy and thick through a Mesa, City of Evil was a Bogner, crisper and tighter, nightmare was very low gain and marshally sounding. There just isn't really an A7X tone to speak of
