One of the common criticisms of Burnout 1 is that it's apparently clunky to play. Compared to its more popular sequels, I can kind of see their point - whilst it is a little rough around the edges, I believe that on its own merits, it's actually less clunky and easier to pick-up-and-play compared to the PSone-era NFS games. Oh yeah, if you complete all the championship modes, you unlock Survival mode. There, it's just you versus the clock, and you have only one life. Crash once, you're dead.

Sorry to say bit it's so difficult because you're playing it wrong. Other racers are attacking you? attack back and try to stay in oncoming traffic as long as possible and drift as much as possible all of these increase your boost meter and once that boost meter is filled you then hit boost? the speed you get has to be experienced to be believed. If you don't get any boost on a track you'll never complete it as there isn't enough time to complete the courses without it

I've actually been on the lookout for some of those budget PS1 pinball games. Some of them are really fun! Nice upgrade on Red Dead Redemption as well, I'm always forgetting to look for booklets! And that's a great price for Mario Galaxy! I recommend playing that Wii version over the Switch port, since the motion aiming controls are much better!

Second-hand media shops like CEX have more stuff in stock, but it’s more thrilling uncovering an awesome old game in a charity shop - especially when it’s one you’ve been expressly searching for! What shelving units are you using for the TVs and consoles?

True Pinball looks like it's in a rental case, although the disc looks retail. I think the PS1 rental discs were black and had 'Rental Only' on them. Previous owner probably replaced a damaged retail case with a rental one they had lying around. Oh and the instructions for Jak and Daxter are printed on the reverse side of the map, I picked it up a couple of weeks ago and wondered if the manual was missing too until I opened the map up fully 😁

Chaos Engine and Alien Breed games have common thing about them. You'll go far if you're not trying to collect everything and kill everything on your way. Just try avoiding the monsters collecting things on your way to open the exit and progress to the next level. I know that exploration is a big part of these games, but it's hazardous.
