I know some people like PFF, but fact is that they sell themselves well, but their “evaluators” are average guys “trained “ to evaluate football players and teams. I will tell you that the Badger coaches (who actually DO know something about football) grading of their own players is frequently not even close to what PFF comes up with. Take their evaluations with a grain of salt

Matt- doesn’t the strength of schedule have to be accounted for more with how this team’s offense has performed. Looked back at your ‘03-‘05 teams where went 1-4 against end of season top 10 teams. Offense scored 21, 7, 14, and 14 in losses. And even in huge win against OSU only scored 17. Longo’s offense has already faced an insane 5 top 12 teams. And I would argue the talent gap between top twelve and rest has greatly increased in last 20 years with NIL etc.

You two are speculating like crazy. Guessing from hundreds of miles away from Madison. Do you have Hunter’s number? He may just tell you to pound sand, though, if you asked him what the culture is like on the team. They seem extremely close judging from the comments after the games from the McClain center. But that’s just my take.

How about this??? The defense and the offensive line rally together BEHIND LOCKE and go out like MEN and lift the kid up. Quit beating on him and show confidence. The kid feels worse than anyone but he still has heart. Two more tries to right the ship. Who's to say his problems weren't Longo related? With Longo gone, maybe the pressure is off and he won't make bad decisions. Why put your faith in an unproven freshman who will most likely follow Longo?

Fickell is trying to downplay the move. He is trying to keep everyone focused on the next game. This was a move clearly coming and it had gotten to a point he wasn't willing to allow to go further. He put a huge target on his back so everyone knew he was focused on the next game. Coach vs. Media darling which would you rather have.

It wasn't just bringing in Luke. He brought an awesome recruiting staff and his weight room staff - Awesome! Last year, your best player had to come forward to call out his team for under achieving - SHAMEFUL! This year, they lost their best QB vs Alabama -tough! This year's schedule was one of the toughest in the BIG! Against Oregon WI played unbelievably tough for 4 quarters. They attacked on D and on O made adjustments on the fly. I am dissapointed that we lost but prior to the game I was hoping that we would lose by < 14 as did we all. Some bad passes and dropped balls doomed this team. Van Dyke was a huge loss. I believe that better days are coming!

It can change, and this staff can change it, but not if ya'll fire OCs after two years. In Harbaugh's 4th & 5th year at Michigan, he got his a$$ handed to him by the Badgers. UW is not ready at two of the most important positions in football, QB and DL. If you don't have those you can't even be competitive with the top teams and teams that have great lines. We need to be patient with the staff as long as they can bring in their guys to progress. Most fans had little to no expectation bc they haven't had a chance to play the way they want to play. Bad line play and QB trickles down to bad play all around.

Maybe break down the film on the players IU has this year for the offense they are running and search for those kind of guys to recruit and portal and the portal guys need to be guys with successful experience at it where they are coming from. What else does Cignetti do? Figure it out and use it. He seems to focus a lot on the details in each play and winning the play. He says it a lot. Maybe that’s part of the magic to borrow from too.

IU looks awesome for sure, but I’m guessing they would have lost to Alabama, Penn State, at Kinnick, and maybe even at the Coliseum before USC was banged up. The stars aligned for Cignetti - mature smart QB and cake schedule. I’m sure his agent will renegotiate his contract in December
