Is there some curvature in the side panels? And how did you get it in there? It appears in the video there is curvature. maybe two lines.

Howdy from down here in Liberty Hill, TX.... I just watched your latest video from April '22.....I've got a '68 coupe I want to make into a T/A clone. Can you tell me your wheel/tire/brake set up please? The finished product looks freak'n AMAZING btw!

where did you get the shelby gas tank? I have never found anyone that has offered it. sweet trans am car!

The gas tank for these early trans and Mustangs was simply two tanks with the tops cut off and the tanks for welded back together. This one has a FuelSafe fuel cell in the position of the tank. Then it has a gas tank with the top cut off flipped over and mounted on top of it so it looks original. So you get the look of the original Trans Am car, but the safety of a fuel cell.

Looking at doing this with my 67 coupe. How did you seal the hole in the deck lid around the cap?

Nice work bro. I am building a very similar car right now too, and just finished the trunk deck lid hole to allow the LeMans cap thru. What a coincidence! My car is a ‘64 1/2 Coupe that I’m building to be a Terlingua/group 2 car, with the stock interior of the Mustang, as it will be my daily driver. I’ve done the LeMans cap, battery relocation, window/windshield hold-down straps, roll bar, vent tubes and block off plates on trunk and hood pins. Currently doing floor pan rust repair before installing new carpets and interior. Also have already put together a Shelby R front valence to finish the front end. Today I drilled lightning holes in the rear bumper, just to see how it looks and I’ll decide to remove it completely or not. Keep up the good work and videos! I’m subscribed!

Hey Roy great ingenuity! I'm doin' the same on a '69 Chevy Z/28. You're right- not a whole lot online on the building of these TA cars. If you want some inspiration from authentic/ documented historic TA race cars check out the movie I produced called CLUTCH. (clutchthemovie.com) and there are also a couple great books- David Tom's THE CARS of TRANS-AM RACING 66-72 is awesome and another is Dave Friedman's TRANS-AM The PONY CAR WARS 66-72. Both are hard cover. Keep up the great work and keep posting vids!
