Okay but why does the first part actually go hard? I'm a percussionist but loooove dreamy chords!

Not sure what you mean.

@@chrissharp8171 I believe he's talking about the whole note sequence before the switch to 16th notes. It was my favorite part too, I played this warmup with my band at the 2023 FSU Tri-State honor band festival.

What's the chord at 16?
@Music_MikeZ4 жыл бұрын
If your asking for the video (As in seconds): Chord progression from Ab Major to E major (3rd lowered half-step & 5th raised half-step). Most of these progressions remind me of the movie "Tomorrowland." Though if your asking as of the measure (16) of the warm-up (assuming it starts at the beginning): Chord Progression from G dim resolving to F Major. Further specification can help me in which chord you are trying to identify.

This is the F series, so the penultimate chord would be C7(b9) or Edim7/C. All the others are major chords connected by a common tone.

My band played this at our Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony yesterday. That piece got the crowd up and dancing.

Hey this is great.. great to see you conducting your own piece... I've been playing this, on drums/percussion, with the Millbury/Sutton Community band out of Massachusetts for some years now and really enjoy the arrangement. Not all arrangements are created equal and this one shines through. Thanks for the cool music!
